The technical result of the proposed technical solution is to expand the functionality of the device by ensuring the separation of paper material not only by cutting it, but also by delamination, which allows us to expand the range of processed paper materials.

It is achieved by the fact that the device for separating sheet paper material containing a base, a knife holder fixed thereon, located on the base with the possibility of plane-parallel movement of the carriage with a flat substrate for sheets of paper material, further comprises a two-stage insert with the possibility of alternately placing each of its steps into the carriage next to the substrate, and the knife holder is equipped with a mechanism for fixing the knife edge at a different distance from the plane of the substrate.

If it is necessary to prepare paper material for dividing it into parts by layering, for example, in the manufacture of business cards, the following is carried out. First, set the required immersion depth of the tip of the knife 3 in the material. Then, the substrate 6 and the insert 7 mounted on the carriage 5 are moved in the direction of the tip of the knife 3, thereby delaminating the paper material. Then repeat this operation, turning the liner 7. Moreover, observe the distance between the notch lines - this value is approximately 0.3 mm. It is due to the properties of the paper material. The transverse distance between the steps of the liner 7 determines the distance between the notch lines.
