COVID 19 is not the last virus in our lives; people will still encounter many of its forms. Issues in prevention and preventive protective equipment are important, and they should not only consist of numerous vaccinations or “smart” systems for monitoring the movement of people around the city.

You cannot focus only on quarantine or excessive hygiene that is unnatural for humans. At the same time, this is an opportunity to rethink the situation and understand that academic official medicine is not always the only way to avoid getting sick or to recover from a pathological process that has arisen. In China, the incidence of this infection was relatively quickly reduced using traditional medicine methods.

Today, some methods of rehabilitation and recovery after a coronavirus infection caused by COVID-19 are known, consisting of both medicinal and non-medicinal effects on patients.

However, these methods may not be effective enough both to prevent the disease and to recover from moderate and severe forms of coronavirus infection.

There is Official Medicine and so-called Alternative-Traditional Medicine, which, as WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus correctly stated, is undervalued. China managed to cope with COVID-19 quite quickly. You can refer to strict quarantine measures as much as you like, but we would focus on the active use of Chinese traditional folk medicine.

Beekeepers have periodic or constant contact with bees, so to speak, “vaccinating” themselves with apitoxin in combination with other bee derivatives, which allows them to be resistant to almost any pathological microflora. In this case, apitoxin can be considered as a universal natural “antigen” (in the medicinal sense of the word), to which the body usually begins to produce its own antibodies (immune response) necessary to resist the pathological agent.

The bee product inhibits the growth of pathogenic microflora, destroys colonies and promotes the production of antibodies. It also stimulates biomolecules and has an antioxidant effect. Scientists have conducted numerous studies confirming the fact that consuming honey in combination with antibiotics reduces the pathogen’s chances of survival several times. An example is the work of J. Evnetu, V. Lemma, N. Birhane “Synergistic antimicrobial effect of mixtures of Ethiopian honeys and ginger powder extracts on standard and resistant isolates of clinical bacteria.” Japanese scientists K. Watanabe, R. Rahmasari, A. Matsunaga, T. Haruyama and N. Kobayashi, as part of their study “Antiviral viral effect of honey in vitro,” put forward the theory that honey is effective against the influenza virus. They conducted their experiments on different types of honey. Bee honey can be used to prevent infections in order to strengthen the immune system due to its composition, rich in vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, C, E, H, K), minerals (iron, zinc, sodium , potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, etc.), amino acids, flavonoids, phytoncides and other valuable substances.

Research by Portuguese scientists confirms and complements these conclusions. An article by M. Miguel, N. Antunes and M. Fileiro was published in the journal Integrative Medicine Insights. The authors claim that honey reduces the virulence of viruses, i.e. the ability of specific infectious agents to infect a specific organism, which makes it possible to use it for coronavirus infection.

Another remedy that actively complements apitoxin therapy is propolis. Its chemical composition has been thoroughly studied by the scientist S.A. Popravko. at the Institute of Chemistry of Natural Compounds of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

At the moment, many pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements using propolis have already been developed and put into production, and its antiviral properties against HIV, herpes, and rotavirus viruses are well known and are now being studied against the coronavirus family.

The aerosol form of propolis (northern Russian or birch type) is the most effective for protection against coronavirus infection, since it can include all types of propolis extracts necessary to protect the body. This form is optimal for the deepest penetration into the respiratory tract and the systemic antiviral and protective effect exerted by propolis compounds on the walls of blood vessels and capillaries of the affected pulmonary alveoli to prevent possible thrombosis.

The use of such propolis would help reduce the mortality rate of patients on mechanical ventilation.

This type of propolis is the most hypoallergenic and the most balanced in activity.

At the same time, the poplar (European) type of propolis, in contrast to the birch type, is highly allergenic and is not yet recommended for allergy sufferers or people with respiratory problems.

Daily intake of propolis is possible in the form of alcohol extracts (10-20% solution orally, 5-7 drops 2-4 times a day to sanitize the mouth and throat), as a biological food additive in the form of tablets or capsules, fine powders and powders, in the form of sprays with the addition of aqueous or alcoholic extracts, in the form of protective antiseptic hand gels, for antiseptic treatment (10% alcohol solution) of medical masks and respirators.

First of all, it is an immunomodulator, the use of which can have a positive effect on the overall immune response to the virus in the affected organism.

The immune properties of royal jelly are associated with the presence of the protein apalbumin (the main protein of hydroxydecenoic acid) in it. Ingestion of royal jelly increases the number of all blood cells, including the globulin fraction proteins alpha 1 and alpha 2.

Royal jelly also induces the formation of T-lymphocytes, which are responsible for the body’s immune response against viruses and play an important role in the dynamics of inflammatory processes.

The anti-inflammatory properties of royal jelly have been proven, manifested by a hormone-like effect and due to the presence of the hormones testosterone, progesterone, prolactine, estradiol in it, which is important for the prevention of swelling and inflammation in the tissues.

Apalbumin and other proteins and peptides contained in royal jelly stimulate the proliferation of monocytes, that is, they have immunostimulating activity. Research is being conducted on the immune response to the HIV-1 multivaccine when receiving royal jelly.

The antibacterial activity of royal jelly is also due to its proteins and peptides, which is important for preventing the development of secondary infections in the lungs, including those affected by COVID-19.

Complaints upon admission: weakness, shortness of breath with minimal physical exertion, fatigue, rare dry cough, decreased hearing and vision, occasional increases in blood pressure up to 180/100, swelling and nagging pain in the legs.

Medical history: she was treated as an inpatient for a new coronavirus infection from 12/10/20 to 12/20/20. Diagnosis: Coronavirus infection caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus (virus identified). Community-acquired bilateral polysegmental COVID-19 pneumonia, moderate severity, DN2 (data from the presented epicrisis).

After discharge from the hospital, she continued taking antihypertensive drugs, anticoagulants, and venotonics. During the therapy, there was an increase in blood pressure, increased nagging pain in the lower extremities, increased lymphostasis of the lower extremities, and a greater decrease in hearing and vision compared to pre-illness. So, the unique feature of apitherapy is its versatility. The effectiveness of rehabilitation therapy after COVID-19 does not depend on the strain of the virus (unlike existing vaccines). Thus, this method of treatment does not require significant adjustments due to emerging varieties of coronavirus strains, since it is aimed at building the resistance of the immune system to any viral pathology.

The proposed method of apitherapy, due to apitoxic, reflex and stress-syndromic effects, ensures a reduction in the risk of complications and rehabilitation of patients after a coronavirus infection caused by COVID-19.
