Abstract
Description
The invention relates to veterinary surgery and can be used in clinical veterinary medicine for the treatment of accidental musculocutaneous wounds in farm animals (horses, cattle and small cattle).
Until now, the treatment of animal wounds remains one of the most important tasks in the field of veterinary surgery. The effectiveness of the treatment of wounds depends on many factors. Today, in the context of the global negative impact of man on the environment, the biological properties of the wound microflora and the immunobiological status of the animal organism change, affecting the course of the wound process.
A veterinarian who encounters various manifestations of a wound infection should clearly understand the essence of the pathological process and apply the right treatment tactics. Inadequate use of antibiotics in the treatment of infected wounds contributes to the development of complications associated with the formation of antibiotic-resistant strains. In addition, the development of drug resistance is due to the uncontrolled use of antibacterial drugs in veterinary practice and the addition of chemical compounds that accelerate the resistance of microorganisms to one or more antibiotics in feed. This leads to a number of difficulties in choosing treatment regimens for infected wounds.
- С. 314-316).The causes of impaired wound healing are also frequent washing with antiseptic solutions, the introduction of irritating agents into the wound, prolonged drainage, lack of rest in the wound in the first phase and in the granulation stage of the second phase, etc. (E.I. Veremey, A.A. Stekolnikov, B.S. Semenov, etc. General Surgery of Veterinary Medicine. - St. Petersburg: LLC “KVADRO”, LLC “Publishing and Printing Company“ COSTA ”, 2012. - P. 314-316).
Well-known analogues of means based on terminated sawdust for the treatment of musculocutaneous wounds in farm animals are:
Ointment "Ranosan" [www.api-san.ru/catalog/ranosan-maz-10] is a complex preparation with antimicrobial activity and accelerating regenerative processes. The authors propose a remedy based on birch terminated sawdust for the treatment of skin and muscle wounds in farm animals in the form of an ointment. The agent, developed and tested by the authors, is applied once and contributes not only to the optimization of reparative regeneration processes, but also to the protection of the wound surface from environmental influences, as a result of which animals recover in a shorter time and the number of treatments for injured animals is reduced.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that the composition based on birch terminated sawdust for the treatment of skin and muscle wounds in farm animals includes the following components: birch terminated sawdust fractions of 0.5-2 mm - 40 g, provide adhesive properties of the ointment, as well as antibacterial, repellent and biostimulating; furatsilin - 0.2 g, as a bactericidal component; clove oil - 2 g, has a repellent, wound healing, antibacterial action and thereby prevents miasma; methyluracil - 3 g, fish oil - 54.8 g, as stimulating the regeneration of soft tissues. All components are thoroughly mixed, the finished product is stored in a tightly closed container in a cool place protected from sunlight.
An agent for treating musculocutaneous wounds in farm animals based on terminated birch sawdust must be applied to the wound surface once immediately after the wound or after surgical treatment of an accidental wound.
The proposed tool for the treatment of musculocutaneous wounds in farm animals involves a single application of the medicinal composition to the wound surface, which reduces the number of manipulations to one and accelerates tissue regeneration by 1.5 times compared to traditional methods. Pronounced antibacterial activity allows to reduce the associativity and the number of wound microflora, which accelerates the course of the hydration phase and the speedy transition to the dehydration phase. The cost of treating one animal with a tool for treating skin and muscle-muscle wounds in farm animals based on terminated birch sawdust is 2.5-3 times lower than the cost of treating with other therapeutic compounds.
The effectiveness of the use of terminated birch sawdust products for the treatment of muscular skin wounds in farm animals has been confirmed by clinical, hematological, histological and morphometric studies.
Clinical examples:
