Существует способ армирования слабых грунтов оснований и откосов и георешетка для его осуществления, при котором на грунт укладывают георешетку, имеющую сотовую структуру и выполненную из скрепленных между собой в шахматном порядке соединительными швами набора гибких лент [1] (А.с. №2228479 «Способ армирования слабых грунтов оснований и откосов (варианты) и георешетка для его осуществления»).
