Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to treat II-IV degree pterygium, including recurrent, using an ozone-oxygen mixture.
A known method of treating postoperative corneal erosion after removal of pterygium (G. N. Dushin and others. "Surgical treatment of pterygium" / Actual problems of ophthalmology, Moscow, 2009, S.348-349), which consists in performing installations in the postoperative period after surgery removal of pterygium drugs for the treatment of postoperative corneal erosion.
The disadvantage of this method of treatment is the presence of pain for a long time, on average 10 days, possibly more depending on the size of the pterygium and, accordingly, the area undergoing surgery, pronounced corneal syndrome: lacrimation, photophobia, which causes blepharospasm in the operated patients. In the known method, a very long period of corneal epithelization and increased recovery and rehabilitation of the patient in the postoperative period.
The present invention solves the problem of increasing the efficiency of the operation by reducing postoperative complications and negative symptoms in the operated patient, i.e. in improving the quality characteristics of the treatment. The technical result obtained in this case consists primarily in a compensatory increase in the activity of antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase, which explains the antioxidant effect of ozone, reduces the degree of tissue hypoxia and restores metabolic processes in the affected tissues at the site of inflammation. In response to the introduction of an ozone-oxygen mixture due to the gradual flow of oxygen into the area of inflammation and oxidation of the algogen mediators that form at the site of tissue damage, a stable anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect occurs. In addition, the introduced ozone-oxygen mixture enhances the effect of other drugs, which contributes to the early healing of the wound surface and reduces the time of postoperative treatment and rehabilitation of patients. This method reduces the likelihood of gross scarring in the operating area, including the prevention of degenerative processes in the cornea. The method is simple and affordable.
The specified technical result of the treatment of postoperative corneal erosion is achieved by the fact that in the method for the treatment of postoperative corneal erosion after removal of the pterygium, which consists in performing postoperative drug installations for the treatment of postoperative corneal erosion, an additional subconjunctival ozone-oxygen mixture is added at the final stage of the operation to remove the pterygium at a concentration of 2 mg / l in an amount of 0.5 ml and repeat this injection in the same concentration and in the same quantity almost the day after surgery.
A method for the treatment of postoperative corneal erosion after removal of the pterygium is as follows.
At the final stage of the operation to remove the pterygium, a subconjunctival ozone-oxygen mixture is introduced in a concentration of 2 mg / l in an amount of 0.5 ml. The day after surgery, repeat this injection in the same concentration and in the same amount.
Clinical example
345521.Patient P., born in 1949, outpatient card No. 345521.
DS - pterygium of the III degree, when viewed from the medial side, the spread of the pterygoid hymen up to the pupil zone is noted. The patient underwent surgery to remove pterygium according to the Mc Reynolds method. At the final stage of the operation to remove pterygium, a solution of ceftazedim 50 mg was administered subconjunctively. In a separate syringe, a subconjunctival injected ozone-oxygen mixture at a concentration of 2 mg / l in an amount of 0.5 ml. On the 2nd day after the operation, this injection was repeated in the same concentration and in the same amount. Corneal syndrome is absent. A control examination was carried out after 2 weeks. The eye is calm, postoperative erosion is completely epithelized.
