Description
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to neurology and reflexology, therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatry, and can be used to improve the quality of treatment and rehabilitation for acute and chronic pain muscle syndromes of various etiologies, in particular neurological manifestations of osteochondrosis and injuries, elimination of chronic high voltage muscles in the complex treatment of psychosomatic disorders, anxiety and anxiety-depressive states of various etiologies.
А61Н 1/00, 10.06.2008).A known method of manual therapy of vertebral neurological syndromes, including muscle relaxation, mobilization, manipulative effects of the operator, while receiving complete muscle relaxation of the whole body by intravenous anesthesia, which, depending on the patient’s health, age and clinical condition, use thiopental sodium or seduxen, or calypsol, or GHB, after turning off consciousness and complete relaxation, simultaneously carry out the correction of the interested parts of the spine by simultaneously pulse-pulse effect on the patient’s spine, followed by temporary fixation of the departments concerned, after reducing or disappearing the pain syndrome within 24 hours after the manipulation, magnetolaser light therapy is connected (see patent RU No. 23225892, class A61H 1/00, 10.06.2008).
This method allows to increase the efficiency of manipulation and reduce treatment time by 2-3 times due to the safe simultaneous correction of the interested parts of the spine. However, this method requires the use of drugs and equipment for magnetic laser light therapy, which narrows the possibilities of using this method in case of allergies in the patient, as well as in the absence of equipment for magnetic laser light therapy.
А61Н 39/04, 10.10.1999).The closest to the invention in technical essence and the achieved result is a method of muscle relaxation, which consists in the fact that they directly affect the soft tissues in the epicenter of pain by kneading the skin-subcutaneous fold with moderate compression and intensive twisting around the densified areas, while the course of treatment is 5-7 sessions conducted daily (see patent RU No. 2139030, class A61H 39/04, 10.10.1999).
This method allows to increase the effectiveness of the treatment of myofascial pain syndromes. However, this method suggests that the painful area should be treated last, performing a layered effect on the soft tissues - skin, subcutaneous tissue, fascia until their mobility is restored to the underlying muscle, which does not allow to quickly remove the pain syndrome.
The problem to which the present invention is directed, is the elimination of these disadvantages.
The technical result consists in the fact that an increase in the effectiveness of the treatment of pain syndromes and the elimination of chronic high muscle tension is achieved by reducing the time to relieve pain and relax muscle tension.
This problem is solved, and the technical result is achieved due to the fact that the method of muscle relaxation consists in the fact that during the examination of the patient, a tensed painful muscle is detected by palpation, and then with force they are pressed onto the tensed muscle until the patient is extremely painful with fingers or an instrument with its tip end area of 0.01 cm 2 to 10 cm 2 for 10 seconds to 10 minutes to achieve the relaxation of strained muscles, which is fixed by the disappearance of pain from pressing and / or feel finger relaxation of the muscles, accompanied by the penetration of the fingers deep into the body, then again examine the area of the body with your fingers, revealing the muscles that have not yet relaxed, and subject them to a similar procedure, with steady muscle tension, in which pressure with your fingers or an instrument with a selected area of the working end does not leads to relaxation, or if the exposure is excessively painful, repeated pressure is applied to the tense muscle with a tool with a smaller area of the working end.
In the course of the study, it was found that modern methods of muscle relaxation with the help of pharmacological drugs can achieve deep relaxation, but when the drugs are removed from the body, relaxation is not preserved (tranquilizers, antipsychotics, muscle relaxants, drugs that paralyze muscles, such as botulinum toxin, etc.). The method of muscle relaxation using various massage methods is widely practiced. This method allows you to achieve significant relaxation, but it is not very effective with high muscle tension, and the well-known technique of progressive muscle relaxation according to Jacobson is not effective in all cases.
The method described above is devoid of the above disadvantages. An important aspect of the application of this method is the sequence of application of instruments with varying degrees of severity. Namely, with a low pain for the patient, a low muscle tension and its rapid relaxation, an instrument with a large area of contact with the body is selected. With high soreness, high muscle tension and a slow development of relaxation, a tool with a sharper tip is used. It was found that the area of the working surface of less than 0.01 cm 2 can damage the skin of the patient, and the area of more than 10 cm 2 does not allow relaxation of the painful muscle. The working surface of the tool can be different - spherical, flat, conical, etc. In addition, with a long absence of muscle relaxation when using a wide flat tool or fingers, a sharper tool should be used. Moreover, after this zone has been exposed to a tool with a sharper tip, it is capable of rapid relaxation when using a wide tip, which allows you to quickly extend the relaxation zone to a large area. Thus, the described method allows without the use of expensive equipment and pharmacological preparations to quickly remove the pain symptom by relieving tension of the painful muscle.
The method described above is implemented as follows.
First, the patient is examined, during which the doctor reveals by palpation a tense and / or painful muscle, noting its degree of tension, which allows you to first decide on the use of the instrument or the continuation of treatment using fingers. Then the doctor presses the muscle tightly with tension until the patient is extremely painful with fingers or his chosen instrument with the area of its working end from 0.01 cm 2 to 10 cm 2 for 10 s to 10 min until relaxation of the tense muscle is achieved, which is recorded by the disappearance of pain from pressure and / or by the relaxation of muscles felt by the fingers, accompanied by the penetration of the fingers deep into the body. Moreover, as noted above, the time of exposure to the muscle and the area of the working end of the instrument are selected depending on the degree of tension of the painful muscle, as described above, and may vary during relaxation.
After the procedure, the fingers again examine this area of the body, revealing muscles that have not yet relaxed, and subject them to a similar procedure, and with steady muscle tension, in which pressure with fingers or an instrument with a selected area of the working end does not lead to relaxation, re-pressure the tensed muscle tool with a smaller area of the working end. Thus, if the painful area was exposed to a tool with a sharper tip, then it turns out to be capable of rapid relaxation when using a wide tip. This allows you to quickly extend the relaxation zone to a large area.
The proposed method was treated 32 patients with pain syndromes of various etiologies, namely due to osteoarthritis, traumatic, vertebrogenic, myofascial, psychogenic. The pains had different localization and severity, had both acute and chronic character. Depending on the nature, location and nature of the pain, from 1 to 10 relaxation sessions were required by the proposed method to achieve a satisfactory effect. All patients were given recommendations for self-correction.
The treatment according to the proposed method allowed to achieve positive changes in the subjective and objective state of patients. The proposed method helped the patient I., 46 years old, who complained of fear of flying on an airplane. This fear first arose 5 years before conversion, gradually intensified, and for two years the patient had avoided flying on airplanes. Mentally imagining a possible flight on an airplane, the patient felt fear, recalling how she was afraid that the airplane she was flying in had already begun to fall, listening to the sounds and shocks of the airplane. The patient underwent one session of relaxation of the muscles of the shoulder girdle, head and neck according to the described method, followed by a figurative representation of her upcoming flight on an airplane (the so-called imaginal desensitization). After that, the patient was able to start flying on airplanes, without fear either while waiting for the flight, or during the flight itself. The patient has been under observation for more than 3 years.
Thus, this method allows to achieve effective muscle relaxation of painful areas of the whole body, in which the relaxation efficiency is increased, a safe effect on the patient’s body is ensured, which allows to reduce the duration and effectiveness of treatment.
