Abstract
Description
The invention relates to railway transport, in particular to brake equipment of rolling stock, and can also be used on other modes of transport in brake systems.
Known brake pad on Avt.sv. 1572889,
However, in the known technical solution, the inserts are made of special cast iron having high hardness, and therefore cause intense wear on the surface of the wheels. In addition, the implementation of the inserts of the main section prismatic, with a continuous surface of friction, reduces heat dissipation and contributes to even greater wear of friction pairs and reduce braking force due to a decrease in the coefficient of friction.
Known brake pad containing a steel frame, an arched body consisting of a main section of the body of the pads and a profile section of the body of the pads with a stream made in it. One row of ridge inserts made in the form of cylindrical elements with a longitudinal cut, covering the crest of the wheel bandage, is laid in the body of the block from the side of the working rubbing surface on the profile section. At least two groups of cylindrical inserts are laid in rows in the main section. In each of the groups, the centers of the three nearest inserts are equidistant from each other, and the rows of these inserts are deployed relative to the longitudinal axis of the block. The inserts are made of ductile metal, for example steel. Patent No. 2153994, IPC 7
A disadvantage of the known brake pad is the reduction of the braking effect when the pad is heated, due to the overheating of the inserts, the friction coefficient is reduced. The shoe creates noise during operation. The block does not have the lubricating effect of the wheel flange and rail.
The objective of the proposed technical solution is to increase the safety of movement of railway cars, improve the environmental situation in the area of braking of the train, reduce operating costs for maintenance of railway cars.
In the process of solving this problem, a technical result is achieved, which consists in reducing the noise level during braking, reducing the wear of the wheel flange and the side surface of the rail, increasing the overhaul period for servicing wheel sets of railway cars, reducing the consumption of brake pads, increasing the stability and reliability of the functioning of brake systems.
The technical result is achieved by a brake car block containing a steel frame, an arched body consisting of a main body part of a shoe and a side body part of a shoe that is in contact with a flange surface of a wheel and interacting with a side surface of a rail, wherein the bow body of a shoe consists of separate elements, mounted on a steel frame, and the elements forming the main part of the body of the pads are made of friction material, and the elements forming the lateral part of the body are boats made of antifriction material in the form of profile elements in contact with the flange surface of the wheel interacting with the side surface of the rail, the friction material has a coefficient of friction of 1.5-10 times and a large abrasion resistance of 1.5-3.5 than the antifriction material, the friction elements that form the main part of the body of the pads have different heights, friction elements with a higher height are located on the edges of the steel frame. In addition, the friction elements that form the main and side sections of the body of the shoe are fixed by welding on a metal frame and between each other in a metallurgical way, the friction elements of the main part of the body of the shoe are made of composite friction material operating at temperatures up to 850 ° C, the friction elements of the main part of the shoe are at least two, friction elements of the side section of the block at least two.
1.The destruction of the wheel’s rolling surface occurs both as a result of contact in the brake pad – wheel system and in the wheel – rail system, i.e. the wheel is subject to wear on the brake pad side and on the rail side. The authors of the proposed technical solution conducted a study of the rolling surface of a railway wheel of a wagon in contact with brake pads made of cast iron. The mechanism of microcrack formation in various parts of the contact surface of the wheel is studied. Fragments of the various stages of destruction are shown in figure 1.
The photo No. 1-4 shows defects in the form of cracks and crevices with a maximum penetration depth of up to 1.5 mm. Photo No. 4 shows the zones of nascent cracks at some distance from the surface. The appearance of such defects is due to high contact pressure. With the further development of internal cracks, they exit to the surface with subsequent peeling (separation) of the particle. Such particles subsequently work as abrasive particles, leading to intense wear on the surface of the wheel. The formation of microcracks occurs gradually and has several stages. Cracks begin to develop long before fracture with fatigue, plastic, and even brittle fracture. The duration of the process of accumulation of material defects, before the appearance and further development of a crack, occupies a significant part, reaching up to 90% of the fracture process time.
In order not to bring the wheels of microcracks to the appearance on the contact surface (rolling surface), this surface must be constantly cleaned from contamination and the surface layer removed. Such removal can be carried out during braking, provided that the brake shoe has a higher abrasion resistance compared to the material of the rim of the car wheel and has a high coefficient of friction. The proposed brake shoe has a steel frame on which friction elements are fixed, and the elements forming the main body portion of the shoe are made of friction material, and the elements forming the lateral body of the shoe body are made of antifriction material, the friction material is 1.5-10 times the coefficient of friction and 1.5-3.5 greater abrasion resistance than antifriction material. This design of the pads allows you to clean the surface of the wheel and lubricate the wheel flange and the side surface of the rail head. Regular cleaning of the wheel’s rolling surface from contamination and exfoliated areas during braking, lubrication of the wheel flange leads to an increase in the overhaul period of service of wheel pairs associated with the replacement of worn wheels, the consumption of brake pads is also reduced, since the abrasion resistance of composite alloys is 2-4 times higher cast iron and steel. Since the contact surface of the "brake shoe - wheel" system is made of a composite composition, as a result, noise pollution during braking will be reduced.
Friction elements that form the main part of the body have different heights, elements with a higher height are located on the edges of the steel frame. This design, when the body of the shoe is deflected in the middle part under pressure on the shoe during braking, leads to a snug fit over the entire surface of the main part of the shoe, to faster grinding of the shoe and to increase the reliability of the brake system.
The second surface of the wheel, subject to intense wear, is the surface of the flange. Particularly severe wear of this surface occurs when driving along curved sections of roads. To reduce wear on the surface of the ridge, it is proposed to apply a layer of antifriction material on its surface, this layer should be applied to the brake pad during braking. In order for such a process to occur, in the proposed technical solution, the antifriction elements forming the side portion of the shoe body are made of antifriction material having lower abrasion resistance and a coefficient of friction of 1.5-2.5 lower than that of the material of the friction elements forming the main body area of the pads. In the process of braking, each time there will be a contact of the side anti-friction elements with the surface of the wheel flange. Since the abrasion resistance of the side antifriction elements is lower than the abrasion resistance of the rail wheel material, the antifriction elements will be transferred to the surface of the wheel flange, and subsequently to the rails, and when moving in curves, the wear of the wheel flange and the side surface of the rail will be reduced.
3.The proposed technical solution is illustrated by drawings, where Fig. 2 shows a general view of a block, a top view, Fig. 3 shows a general view of a block, a side view, and Fig. 4 is a section along section AA of Fig. 3.
The brake wagon composition block comprises a
The work of the brake pads is as follows. When the working surface of the block is pressed against the working surface of the wheel of a railway car, braking and smearing (rubbing) of the flange surface of the wheel occurs. Subsequently, during movement, contact occurs between the flange surface of the wheel and the side surface of the rail. Since there are particles of antifriction material on the wheel flange surface, the side surface of the rail is lubricated and its wear is reduced.
The ability to manufacture blocks using various materials and technologies of friction and antifriction elements allows to improve their quality and obtain technical indicators of blocks taking into account specific requirements depending on the operating conditions of railway cars.
