Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of hydrometallurgy of precious metals and can be used to extract gold from the tailings of gold recovery plants that process carbon sorption-active ores and beneficiation products by the planning method, including the use of ion-exchange resins and activated carbons.
[1].A known prototype method, comprising filtering the tail pulp for the purpose of semi-dry storage of cyanide tails. However, the method does not provide additional extraction of sorbed gold from the solid phase of the tailings [1].
The objective of the invention is the additional extraction of gold from cyanide tails of carbonaceous sorption-active ores and enrichment products into commercial products by reducing the sorption activity of the solid phase by increasing the temperature of the pulp.
This is achieved by the fact that in the method for extracting gold from cyanidation tailings of carbonaceous sorption-active ores and enrichment products, including filtering the tail pulp on filter presses with the filtrate returning to the cyanation cycle or for neutralization, according to the invention, the pulp is heated and the filtration is carried out at a temperature of 70- 130ºC and a pressure of 0.2-0.6 MPa, after filtration, the cake on the filter is washed with preheated circulating cyanide solutions or water at a temperature of 70-130ºC and a pressure of 0.2-0.6 MPa, the main and washing filters Atoms combine, cool and demetalize by sorption or cementation methods.
The essence of the method is as follows. The tail pulp is heated, the pulp is filtered on filter presses at elevated temperature, the cake is washed on the filter with hot anhydrous cyanide-free circulating solution or hot water, the filtrates are cooled and gold is recovered from the combined filtrate using standard sorption or cementation methods. At the same time, the operations of filtering the tail pulp and washing the cake on the filter are carried out at a temperature of 70-130ºC and a pressure of 0.2-0.6 MPa.
The use of the sorption cyanidation process of carbonaceous sorption-active ores and beneficiation products is due to the fact that, with a sufficient amount of artificial sorbent in the pulp (2-20 vol.% Depending on the value of sorption activity and the initial gold content), gold is extracted from the liquid phase of the pulp mainly on artificial sorbent. However, part of the recovered gold in any case is sorbed by the solid phase of the pulp and is lost with cyanidation tails. To a greater extent, this refers to the process of direct planning of sorption-active ores and concentration products, as washing of sorbed gold at low temperatures is ineffective. In the proposed method, the tail pulp is heated to a temperature of 70-130 ° C, as a result of this, the sorption activity of the solid phase of the pulp is reduced, the sorbed gold passes into the liquid phase of the pulp. Then the pulp is filtered, the cake is washed on the filter with hot cyanide solution or hot water. In this case, cake is also washed from sorbed gold. The main and washing filtrates are combined, cooled and desalted by sorption or cementation with further processing of the resulting products to marketable gold. The depleted filtrate is returned to circulation for the cake washing process at elevated temperature, excess solutions are sent to the main factory process for sorption cyanide. Thus, the method allows to reduce the gold content in the solid phase of the tailings of sorption leaching of carbonaceous sorption-active ores and products of enrichment and to further extract gold into commercial products.
The inventive method is illustrated by Thursday, which shows a schematic diagram of the extraction of gold from the tailings of the planning of sorption-active ores and beneficiation products by the proposed method.
The method is illustrated by the following examples.
1.Example 1. The study was subjected to sorption cyanidation tails of carbonaceous sorption-active industrial product of gravity ore dressing of one of the deposits with a gold content of 5.1 g / t. 5 temperature conditions of the sorbed gold washing process were tested: 60 ° C; 70 ° C; 85 ° C; 100 ° C; 115 ° C; 130 ° C; 140 ° C. According to the proposed method, tail pulp samples of 8.0 kg with W: T = 1: 1 (4.0 kg by dry weight) were heated to the set temperature values and filtered on a laboratory filter press heated to the same temperature. The filtration pressure was 0.2-0.6 MPa; the upper boundary is selected based on the practice of industrial filter presses, the lower boundary is based on the non-boiling solution. Received by 3.3 l of the main filtrate. As a washing solution, a solution of 0.5 g / L NaCN and 1 g / L NaOH was used, which simulates diluted solutions of intense cyanide and eluates from desorption of gold from activated carbon, the excess of which is always formed at the enterprise and is discharged into the main production cycle. The cakes in the filter were washed with a solution heated to the appropriate temperature, with a volume of 2 L. Received in 2.1 l of washing filtrate and 4.6 kg of washed cake with a moisture content of 13%. The main and wash filtrates were combined and cooled to room temperature. In order to extract gold from chilled solutions, the method of cementation by zinc dust was tested using a laboratory installation simulating an industrial cementation process. For this, 1.0 L of the solution was placed in a Bunsen flask and deoxygenated, after which 1.5 g of zinc powder pretreated with 5% Pb (NO 3 ) 2 solution was charged into the flask. Cementation was carried out for 3 hours. After completion of cementation, the solution was filtered. The results are shown in table 1.
12-25%.Analysis of the data shows that the optimal range of washing temperature is a range from 70 to 130 ° C. An increase in temperature above 130 ° C does not increase the degree of gold recovery. A decrease in the washing temperature below 70 ° C is impractical due to a significant decrease in the efficiency of the washing process. The operation of hot washing the tailings of sorption cyanidation of the gravity concentration industrial product allows additionally extracting 0.60-1.27 g / t of gold in commercial products and reducing metal losses with the solid phase of sorption tailings by 12-25%.
2.Example 2. The study was subjected to tailings of direct cyanidation of the carbonaceous sorption-active flotation concentrate of one of the enterprises with a gold content of 1.3 g / t. Tested 7 temperature conditions of the washing process of sorbed gold: 60 ° C; 70 ° C; 85 ° C; 100 ° C; 115 ° C; 130 ° C; 140 ° C. According to the proposed method, tail pulp samples of 10 kg each with W: T-1: 1.5 (4.0 kg by dry weight) were heated to the set temperature values and filtered on a laboratory filter press heated to the same temperature. The filtration pressure was 0.2-0.6 MPa; the upper boundary is selected based on the practice of industrial filter presses, the lower boundary is based on the condition that the solution does not boil. Received on 5.0 l of the main filtrate. The cakes in the filter were washed with water, heated to the appropriate temperature, with a volume of 3.0 L. Obtained by 3.0 l of washing filtrate and 5.0 kg of washed cake with a moisture content of 20%. The main and wash filtrates were combined and cooled to room temperature. For the extraction of gold from a cooled solution for washing cakes of planning, the “coal in columns” method was tested. The column with a diameter of 10 mm and a length of 150 mm was a 6-section apparatus with a section volume of 2 ml. 6.0 g of regenerated activated carbon of the brand Chemviron Carbon 207 C GR 6 * 12 was loaded into the column. Countercurrent sorbent was carried out every 58 hours, moving the entire section as a whole. The results are shown in table 2.
29-51%.Analysis of the data shows that the optimal range of washing temperature is a range from 70 to 130 ° C.
