Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of oil refining, in particular to a method for producing oil binders and fiber-forming pitch, and can be used in the petrochemical and oil refining industries for the production of carbon fibers.
A known method of producing oil pitch by thermopolycondensation of oil raw materials [Belgian patent No. 893465, class.
The disadvantages of this method are the complexity of the process, in particular the maintenance of the temperature difference, the relatively low yield of fiberizing pitch and its low quality.
A known method of producing oil isotropic fiber-forming pitch [RF patent No. 2065470, class.
The disadvantages of this method are the use of surfactants, insufficiently high yield fiber-forming pitch due to insufficient residence time of the reaction mass in the reaction zone in connection with the stage of thermopolycondensation at elevated pressure only in a flow-through coil reactor.
Closest to the proposed method according to the technical result is a method for producing oil fiber-forming pitch [RF patent No. 2062285, class.
The disadvantages of the method are the high consumption of superheated steam, the low yield of fiber-forming pitch, due to the insufficient duration of the passage of the reaction mass through the coil reactor at elevated pressure and temperature, the complexity of the process associated with the need to maintain high pressure. A decrease in pressure in the flow reactor below 30 atm leads to coking of the equipment.
The aim of the invention is to increase the yield of oil pitch with predetermined physico-chemical characteristics, simplifying the process.
The goal is achieved in the proposed method for producing oil fiber-forming pitch, including thermopolycondensation of a heavy pyrolysis resin at elevated pressure and a temperature of 330-400 ° C, distillation of low molecular weight reaction products and holding the resulting product at elevated temperature in the presence of superheated water vapor as a non-oxidizing agent, and as raw materials, heavy pyrolysis resin purified from low-boiling and non-melting components is used, the reaction mass is in the reaction zone given time by recirculation at a pressure of 10-25 atm, then part of the reaction mass is sent to a reaction separator for distillation of low molecular weight reaction products at a flow rate of superheated water vapor in an amount of 0.02-0.04 kg / h per kg of TSP and holding at a temperature of 340- 380 ° C for 3-10 hours to obtain a low-melting binder pitch, then the low-melting binder pitch is sent to a vacuum column to distill off the low molecular weight reaction products and soaking at 300-320 ° C and a pressure of 20-50 mm Hg within 2-5 hours at a flow rate of superheated water vapor in an amount of 0.02-0.04 kg / h per kg of raw material to obtain a high-melting pitch melt, the obtained melt is treated with ultrasound with a frequency of 15-22 kHz and a power of 50-100 W / cm 2 to obtain a high melting fiber-forming pitch. The distillates of low molecular weight reaction products are sent to an atmospheric column for water separation and separation to produce hydrocarbon gases, gasoline, light and heavy gas oil, then heavy gas oil after heating to a temperature of 480-540 ° C is sent to the mixer. Low melting binder pitch can be assigned as an independent commercial product.
The essence of the proposed method is as follows. Heavy pyrolysis resin (TSP) is a by-product of ethylene production. Purification of the starting resin involves the removal of non-meltable components by filtration and distillation of low-boiling (up to 250 ° C) pyrolysis resin components. Removal of non-meltable components prevents coking of the equipment by eliminating the formation of carbides by removing centers of crystallization. Removal of low-boiling components of TSP reduces gas evolution in the process of thermopolycondensation, improves the quality of the target product by reducing the porosity of the pitch.
1.Physico-chemical characteristics of the initial TSP and purified TSP by filtration from non-melting components and distillation of the low molecular weight components of the pyrolysis resins are presented in table 1.
The formation of the final product of thermopolycondensation (in this case, pitch) occurs as a result of successive conversions of the components of the reaction mass according to the following scheme:
To obtain high-quality fiber-forming pitch, the process of thermopolycondensation must be stopped at the stage of producing carbenes without the formation of nucleation centers for carboids (α 1 fractions). To do this, in known methods using various methods and techniques (extraction, hydrogenation, maintaining a large temperature gradient). It is known that the softening temperature of isotropic fiber-forming pitch is in the range of 180-220 ° C. At lower softening temperatures (below 180 ° C) in the pitch, the content of the γ-fraction (resins and oils) increases and the content of the α-fraction decreases. The high content of the γ-fraction (10%) leads to increased gas evolution at the stage of molding and subsequent carbonization, which leads to uneven forming, the fiber is of poor quality with influxes. A low content of α-fraction (less than 20%) leads to a decrease in the strength of carbon fiber, because The α-fraction (carbenes) is the most structured part of the pitch, giving strength to the fiber. At high softening temperatures (above 220-230 ° C), the pitch changes to a different qualitative state and becomes anisotropic, with a high content of α 1 fraction.
Distinctive features of the proposed method are the use of purified TSP, conducting the process of thermopolycondensation at a pressure of 10-25 atm, recycling the reaction mixture to the reaction zone and returning heavy gas oil to the process to increase the yield of the pitch and treating the resulting fiber-forming pitch with ultrasound.
The process of thermal polycondensation in a flow-through reactor of a coil type is carried out at a pressure of 10-25 atm, while the optimal process conditions are achieved. At pressures above 7 atm, all components of the reaction mixture are in a liquid state of aggregation, but at pressures below 10 atm, the pitch yield decreases and the coking rate of the equipment increases. An increase in pressure above 25 atm is impractical due to increased energy costs.
Exposure of the reaction mass at a temperature of 340-380 ° C for 3-10 hours at a flow rate of superheated water vapor in an amount of 0.02-0.04 kg / h per kg of TSP with simultaneous distillation of low molecular weight reaction products provides optimal conditions for obtaining a low-melting binder pitch. The process at a temperature below 340 ° C and for less than 3 hours leads to a decrease in the yield of binder pitch due to the incomplete course of the polycondensation reaction. An increase in temperature above 380 ° C and a holding time of more than 10 hours leads to the formation of an α 1 fraction, which reduces the quality of both the binder and fiber-forming pitch. The consumption of superheated water vapor below 0.02 kg / h per kg of TSP does not provide for maintaining the temperature of the reaction mixture within 340-380 ° C, as well as its intensive mixing. An increase in the consumption of superheated steam above 0.04 kg / h per kg of TSP does not affect the group composition and softening temperature of the pitch and is not economically feasible.
The exposure of low-melting binder pitch at a temperature of 300-320 ° C and a pressure of 20-50 mm RT.article within 2-5 hours with simultaneous distillation of low molecular weight reaction products provides optimal conditions for the production of high-melting fiber-forming pitch. Residual pressure above 50 mmHg not effective enough to remove volatile low molecular weight products. Maintaining pressure below 20 mmHg causes technological difficulties. Maintaining temperature below 300 ° C and pressure above 50 mmHg leads to a decrease in the quality of fiber-forming pitch. During distillation and aging at temperatures above 330 ° C, the formation of α 1 fraction takes place.
Ultrasonic treatment with a frequency of 15-25 kHz and a power of 50-100 W / cm 2 melt high-melting pitch provides an increase in the quality of fiber-forming pitch by removing bubbles, the uniformity of the structure.
Heating heavy gas oil above 480 ° C reduces viscosity and ensures pipelability. An increase in gas oil temperature above 540 ° C is impractical, since it leads to an increase in energy consumption.
An increase in pitch yield is achieved by circulating the reaction mixture and thereby increasing the duration of the thermopolycondensation process at a pressure of 10-25 atm and a temperature of 340-380 ° C, as well as returning heavy gas oil to the process. The simplification of the process is achieved by maintaining a lower pressure in the range of 10-25 atmospheres, while the coking of the equipment is eliminated.
1.Schematic diagram of the production of oil pitch is shown in Fig. 1.
3.The purified heavy pyrolysis resin is fed by stream I to a

The implementation of the method is illustrated by examples.

Example 1. Purified from low-boiling and non-melting components heavy pyrolysis resin in the amount of 50 kg with a temperature of 95 ° C is continuously fed with a mass flow rate of 10 kg / h into a tube furnace, where the initial resin is heated to a temperature of 360 ° C at a pressure of 25 atm. The heated resin is fed into the mixer, where it is mixed with the circulating reaction mass and enters the flow reactor. Overheated water vapor with a mass flow rate of 0.3 kg / h is fed into the flow reactor. The consumption of superheated water vapor is 0.03 kg per 1 kg of feedstock. The reaction mass is discharged from the flow reactor at a rate of 10 kg / h into one of the three reaction separators operating periodically. The temperature of the reaction mass in the reaction separator is maintained at 360 ° C. The pressure in the reaction separator is 1 atm, the exposure time of the reaction mass is 3 hours. To separate the reaction products and remove low molecular weight components, a superheated water vapor with a mass flow rate of 0.2 kg / h is supplied in a countercurrent separator. The steam consumption in the reaction separator is 0.02 kg per kg of raw material. The resulting low-melting binder pitch is removed from the bottom of the reaction separator as a commercial product. Low molecular weight reaction products are fed to an atmospheric column for separation into water, heavy (fraction 350 ° C - end of boiling) and light (fraction 200-350 ° C) gas oil, hydrocarbon gases (C 1 -C 4 ) and gasoline (fraction beginning of boiling - 200 ° C). 3.75 kg heavy gas oil is returned to the flow reactor through a mixer after heating to a temperature of 500 ° C.
As a result, the process was obtained 39.25 kg of the low-melting binder pitch having a softening point of 95 ° C and the following group composition: α-fraction content of 28,1, α 1-fraction (non-fusible component) is absent, β-and γ- fraction 50.5 fractions of 21.4% of the mass. The output of the pitch amounted to 78.5% of the mass.

Example 2. Purified from low-boiling and non-melting components heavy pyrolysis resin in the amount of 50 kg with a temperature of 95 ° C is continuously fed with a mass flow rate of 10 kg / h to a tube furnace, where the initial resin is heated to a temperature of 360 ° C at a pressure of 25 atm. The resulting low-melting binder pitch to obtain fiber-forming pitch is sent to a vacuum column, where the pitch is maintained at 300-320 ° C and a pressure of 20-50 mm Hg within 4 hours. When this occurs, the distillation of low molecular weight reaction products. The mass flow rate of superheated water vapor in the vacuum column is 0.3 kg / h, while the consumption of superheated steam is 0.03 kg per kg of raw material. After the vacuum column, the obtained melt of the high-melting pitch is treated with ultrasound at a frequency of 20 kHz and a power of 75 W / cm 2 to obtain a high-melting fiber-forming pitch. The low molecular weight reaction products from the vacuum column are fed to an atmospheric column for separation into water, heavy and light gas oil, hydrocarbon gases and gasoline. Heavy gas oil in an amount of 5.23 kg is heated to a temperature of 500 ° C and returned to the flow reactor through a mixer.
