Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of veterinary virology and practical veterinary medicine, in particular to measures for the prevention of avian influenza by the combined use of an inactivated vaccine and chemotherapy.
ч. человека.Bird flu (GP) is one of the most dangerous and widespread infections affecting numerous species of domestic and wild birds, as well as mammals, including person.
The deterioration of the epizootic situation not only in Russia, but also in the world in the case of influenza A virus in birds caused the need to develop and put into practice a system of comprehensive measures to prevent and combat this dangerous disease.
Taking into account the biological and economic danger of bird flu and due to the application of the method of total destruction of birds in the foci of infection, most researchers agreed on the introduction of means of specific protection, i.e. vaccination, the positive effect of which was confirmed in the USSR, Mexico and Italy. The use of inactivated sorbed or oil vaccines can dramatically reduce the incidence and mortality of birds and prevent the spread of infection outside of dysfunctional farms.
The closest analogues of the invention are the following.
1. Immunization with an inactivated emulsified vaccine during the epizootic period does not protect the population between vaccination and the formation of intense immunity, which is from 14 to 21 days, and the incubation period of the disease is 3-5 days (RF Patent No. 2316159 of 08/07/2006 ) Therefore, it is promising to search for combined means and methods of prevention using both specific and non-specific (chemical) drugs.
2. In recent years, new highly effective chemotherapeutic agents have been developed for the treatment and prevention of animal viral infections. Among them, special attention is given to the Abaktan-R fluoroquinolone series drug. This drug is developed on the basis of pefloxacin and midantan, which is very promising in terms of protecting animals from pathogens, as it has an antiviral effect against RNA viruses. A known method of treatment and prevention of avian influenza by feeding the bird chemotherapy drug "Abactan-R". The drug is given to the bird at a dose of 20 mg / kg body weight 1 time per day for 21 days (RF Patent No. 2111744 of 05.27.1998). However, this method requires a large consumption of the drug.
The proposed method eliminates these disadvantages.
The aim of the invention is to develop a method for the prevention of bird flu, which allows to protect the bird from disease during the formation of immunity after vaccination up to 14-21 days.
The goal is achieved in that the method includes the simultaneous single vaccination of a bird with an inactivated emulsified vaccine against bird flu from the subtype H5N2 and feeding the chemotherapy Aboctan-R at 20 mg / kg body weight 1 time per day for 14 days.
The proposed method provides 80-100% protection of birds within 1-3 days after the start of the use of drugs, while the use of only inactivated emulsified vaccines creates only 80-100% protection only 6-9 days after vaccination.
1.Example 1
The use of the drug "Abactan R" and inactivated vaccine against influenza A of birds.
In the experiment, 10 bird groups of 10 animals each were used. Combined use of the drug “Abactan R” and an inactivated vaccine against avian influenza was carried out with groups 1–4, and groups 5–8 were only vaccinated. 9 and 10 groups - control of the virus and birds, respectively.
An inactivated emulsified avian influenza vaccine from the H5N2 subtype was administered intramuscularly at 0.5 cm 3 (512 GAU / goal) to the bird. Abactan-R at a dose of 20 mg / kg body weight was administered orally with food 1 time per day. The control infection of the bird was carried out with the avian influenza virus subtype H5N2 at a dose of 178 LD 50 on the 1st, 3rd, 6th and 9th day after the start of drug use. Observation of the bird after infection was carried out for 30 days. The results of the experiment are presented in the table.
The data in the table show that the combined use of the chemotherapy Abactan-R and the inactivated emulsified vaccine against avian influenza protects against the death of 80-100% of chickens, starting from 1-3 days, while the use of the inactivated emulsified vaccine creates 80-100% protection only 6-9 days after vaccination. It should be noted that all surviving chickens had stable immunity to reinfection with the A virus of influenza A birds of the H5N2 subtype at a dose of 1000 LD 50. This method can significantly reduce the consumption of the drug "Abactan-R".
