Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of hydroacoustics, and in particular, to underwater acoustic screens experiencing hydrostatic pressure. It can be used in acoustic measuring pools, as well as to reduce interference levels in the fairings of hydroacoustic stations of fishing vessels and to reduce the sound field level created by various engineering structures in the water.
The presence of the latter makes it possible to convert the volumetric deformations of RPM caused by sound pressure into shear, which “provides” greater absorption of the sound incident on the screen, since RPM have significantly greater mechanical losses during shear deformations. These constructions are described, for example, in books: 1. "Some issues of applied acoustics." Sat articles edited by J. Richardson. "Military. Publishing House. Ministry of Defense of the USSR", M., 1962. 2. V.E. Glazanov "Shielding of hydroacoustic antennas" L. "Shipbuilding". 1986; 3. A.V. Ionov "Means of reducing vibration and noise on ships." S Petersburg, Publ. Central Research Institute Acad. A.N. Krylova, 2000; as well as in a number of articles, for example, Vovk AE, Pasternak RN, Tyutekin VV, "Experimental studies of the wave properties of a medium with cylindrical channels" Acoust. Well, 1958, v.4,
Almost all of the above analogues have a significant drawback - low piezostability of the acoustic effect, which is associated with a decrease in air content in the RPM layer due to deformation of air cavities under the action of hydrostatic pressure. Some of the above analogues, for example, “Hydroacoustic Absorber and Reflector” (US Pat. US 4,164,727), should be more piezostable in design, but it has high bending stiffness due to the presence of hard metal reinforcing layers. The latter makes it difficult to apply it to curved protected structures, as well as cutting it when applied to a complex surface.
6-100.The closest technical solution (prototype) of the proposed underwater acoustic screen is "Underwater acoustic screen" according to US Pat. RF 2138858 C1. It is made in the form of a plate consisting of a lower and upper layer. The bottom layer is made of soft RPM in the form of a system of grooves and protrusions. The upper layer of the screen on the inner side has protrusions, the cross-section of which corresponds to the cross sections of the grooves of the lower layer so that when connecting these upper and lower layers, the protrusions of the upper layer penetrate into the grooves of the lower layer, thereby forming airtight cavities. In addition, the prototype screen has additional air cavities in the protrusions of the lower layer. In addition, the ratio of the elastic modules of the materials of the upper and lower layers of the prototype screen is 6-100.
The disadvantage of the prototype is its low acoustic efficiency with increased hydrostatic loads, as well as the high complexity when assembling these layers of the screen into a finished product, primarily because of the need to grind the glued surfaces of a complex profile and glue the elements of the screen with glue before hot vulcanization. In addition, the complex configuration of the screen elements requires the development and manufacture of complex molds.
The objective of the invention is to increase acoustic efficiency, preserve the effect during operation of the screen in conditions of high hydrostatic pressure, as well as simplifying the manufacturing technology of the screen.
This is achieved by the fact that in the proposed technical solution, the protrusions of the upper layer are placed inside the array of the lower layer, for example by vulcanization, and make up a single array with it, while the upper layer is equipped with additional protrusions located in part of the air cavities of the lower layer, and these protrusions are placed with the gap between the walls of the aforementioned air cavities, and the protrusions of the upper layer have a section of variable height. In addition, the upper layer on the side of the protrusions has air cavities, the total area of these cavities is 10-12% of the screen area.
Placing the protrusions of the upper layer of the screen inside the protrusions of the lower layer, which constitute an inextricable single array with the lower layer, provides an increase in the acoustic efficiency of the screen by releasing the free lateral surface of the air cavity and increasing the piezostability of the effect due to the rigid protrusions of the upper layer.
The supply of the upper layer of the screen with additional protrusions located in part of the air cavities of the lower layer so that they are placed with a gap between the walls of these air cavities, gives additional piezostability to the screen.
Due to the cross-sectional height of the protrusions of the upper layer in the claimed screen, the wave resistance of the outer surface of the upper layer changes from a value consistent with the wave resistance of the water to the lower mounting surface of the lower layer mismatched with it, which allows more intensive absorption and isolation of sound energy.
For better coordination with water resistance, the upper layer on the side of the protrusions has additional air cavities, and the total area of these cavities is 10-12% of the screen area. It is essential that the proposed design of the screen reduces the complexity and significantly increases the reliability of the preservation of the effect during operation of the screen in conditions of high hydrostatic pressure.
The invention is illustrated by drawings, where figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of the inventive underwater acoustic screen; figure 2 is a diagram of the inventive screen with protrusions of the upper layer placed in air cavities; figure 3 is a diagram of the inventive screen with height-adjustable protrusions of the upper layer; figure 4 - diagram of the inventive screen with additional air cavities in the upper layer; and figure 5 shows the frequency dependence of the excess of the acoustic effect of the claimed screen over the prototype screen.
3.The proposed underwater acoustic screen (see Fig. 1) consists of an
For greater absorption of sound energy, the
К дополнительному повышению акустического эффекта приводит то, что верхний слой 1 со стороны выступов 2 имеет воздушные полости 7, а общая площадь указанных полостей составляет 10-12% площади экрана (фиг.4).An additional increase in the acoustic effect is caused by the fact that the
The efficiency of the proposed screen in comparison with the prototype is explained by the fact that the placement of the reinforcing protrusions of the upper layer inside the RPM of the
The device operates as follows. When a sound wave falls on the screen, longitudinal vibrations occur in the rubber-like material. The wave propagates towards the
The features of the proposed screen are that the reinforcing elements - the protrusions of the upper layer are located both in the thickness of the material of the lower layer and in part of the air cavities, but do not tighten the side surfaces of the cavities. Considering that the RPM sections of the indicated walls of the air cavities have the greatest radial deformation and, therefore, the greatest sound absorption, the placement of the protrusions of the upper layer outside these walls without touching them provides the greatest acoustic effect.
This technical solution allows you to get more than the prototype static rigidity of the screen while maintaining a relatively small dynamic stiffness. When hydrostatic pressure is applied to the screen, the screen is compressed and, accordingly, the volume of air cavities decreases, which leads to an increase in the dynamic stiffness of the screen and to a corresponding decrease in its acoustic efficiency. The indicated decrease in volume occurs both due to the compression of the pliable lower layer and due to the deformation of the sections of the upper layer, which play the role of caps of the air cavities of the lower layer. If there are additional protrusions of the upper layer in the air cavities that do not touch the side surfaces of the air cavities, the deformations of the caps of the cavities decrease and, accordingly, the decrease in the volume of the cavities becomes smaller than in the absence of additional protrusions. At the same time, the dynamic stiffness of the screen in the presence of a free lateral surface of the air cavity practically does not change. This allows you to realize a higher acoustic effect of the screen with a larger range of hydrostatic pressures than the prototype screen.
As a specific implementation example, samples of the inventive screen and a prototype screen with a diameter of ~ 150 mm were made. The tests were carried out in a sonar waveguide. Figure 5 shows the frequency dependence of the excess of the acoustic effect - sound insulation of the claimed underwater acoustic screen over the prototype.
The above results showed that the claimed acoustic screen in the entire measured frequency range exceeds the acoustic efficiency of the prototype.
