Abstract

A folding grill is known [Patent RU No. 97609, IPC A47J 37/06, publ. 2010], including a V-shaped folding body formed by hingedly interconnected side walls with legs hinged to it, a removable grill for storing fuel, removable trapezoidal end walls and retractable handles for carrying.

The disadvantages are the use of thin metal and hinged joints, which at high temperatures over time lose the ability to easily unfold and fold the grill, as well as the time required to assemble them.

The goal is to create a mobile, compact with increased usable volume, durable and easy-to-use barbecue.

Thanks to the removable legs and the folding of two bodies, the grill is mobile, compact, with increased usable volume and easy to use. At the same time, an increase in structural strength is achieved, which ensures an increase in service life while increasing the useful volume of the grill.

In the manufacture of this barbecue, 2 mm thick metal is used, which is durable. The hinges are also made of high-strength metal.

When folded, the grill takes up space like one standard grill, being compact and mobile, and if necessary, its volume can be doubled by unfolding the second body and attaching the legs to it, which saves storage space.

The leg mounts are attached to the barbecue using electric welding. For fastening, a profile pipe measuring 25x25 is used. The legs are made of a profile pipe measuring 20×20, which fit tightly into the mounts, but additional bolts are also installed on the mounts that hold the legs tightly inside the mount and prevent them from moving or falling out when moving the barbecue, which can also be loosened and then the legs can be lowered telescopically or rise, which allows you to install the grill on any uneven surface. And when the legs are tightly secured with bolts, then the barbecue can be moved from place to place without fear that they will fall out of the mount, which happens in most cases with other barbecues in which the legs are included in the mounts and are not additionally fixed in anything.

The housings can be made with a wall size of 40×60 cm. If necessary, its design allows you to double the length in one movement (for example, from 60 cm to 120 cm) due to the fact that the lower housing is tilted 180 degrees and additional ones are installed in the end wall legs.

Two identical bodies are connected to each other by bottoms by means of hinges on one side and a retaining lock on the opposite side, and 4 legs are attached to the sides of the upper body so that the lower body can pass between them; on the end wall of which there are fastenings for additional two legs, in the folded position of the barbecue additional legs are fixed with nuts on the side wall of the upper housing.

The device works as follows.

When the barbecue is folded, its nominal size is 60x40 cm, in order to increase its size to 120x40 cm by unscrewing the bolts, the legs of the second body are removed, the retaining lock is opened, then the lower part of the barbecue is moved 180 degrees, moving it to a horizontal position and install additional two legs into the fastening elements installed on the lower body by inserting the legs into these fastening elements until they stop and fixing them with bolts. Reassemble (reduce size) in reverse order. Due to the possibility of assembling/disassembling the barbecue, mobility, compactness of the barbecue with an increased usable volume and ease of use of the barbecue are ensured. At the same time, an increase in structural strength is achieved, which ensures an increase in service life while increasing the useful volume of the grill.
