Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of electroplating, in particular to the electrolytic deposition of a silver-bismuth alloy.
Эти осадки характеризуются малой твердостью (620-790 МПа) и низкой коррозионной стойкостью (0,25-0,4 г/м2•ч).Known electrolyte for the deposition of silver-bismuth alloy containing silver and bismuth salts, Trilon B, ferrocyanide and potassium thiocyanate, sodium carbonate, ammonium citrate [1]. However, precipitation can be obtained from this electrolyte only at low current densities (0.2-0.25 A / dm 2 ). These deposits are characterized by low hardness (620-790 MPa) and low corrosion resistance (0.25-0.4 g / m 2 • h).
The result of the invention is the extension of the range of operating current densities and an improvement in the quality of coatings (increasing their hardness and corrosion resistance).
The proposed electrolyte differs from the known one in that, in addition to silver and bismuth and trilon B salts, tartaric acid and an equalizer A (benzene sulfate of methyldiethylaminomethyl polyglycol ether of alkyl phenol) are additionally added to its composition in the following ratio of components, g / l:
Silver nitrate - 25-35
Bismuth Sulfate - 5-15
Trilon B - 30-50
Tartaric acid - 2-4
Equalizer A - 2.5-3.5
An additional introduction of tartaric acid helps to increase the buffer properties of the solution, refine the structure and lighten the precipitation.
The surface-active non-ionic substance equalizer A, adsorbed on the cathode, inhibits the recovery of metal ions, while improving the wettability of the precipitates.
Trilon B binds silver and bismuth ions into strong trilonate components (logβ AgEDTA = 7.32 and logβ BiEDTA = 27.9), which prevents the hydrolysis of salts and improves the stability of the electrolyte.
The electrolyte is prepared by dissolving silver salts, bismuth salts and trilon B in separate portions of water. A portion of trilon B solution is added with stirring to the bismuth salt solution, and the second half of the complexon is added to the silver salt solution. The mixture of solutions is left for 10-15 minutes for complete complexation, and then slowly (with vigorous stirring) a silver complexonate solution is added to the bismuth complexonate solution. Tartaric acid and equalizer A are added to the resulting mixture and the electrolyte volume is adjusted to the working water.
The electrodeposition of the coatings is carried out at a cathodic current density of 0.5-1.5 A / dm 2 , a temperature of 20-25 o C, pH 1.5-2.5 with stirring using a bismuth anode.
Specific examples of the use of electrolyte and some properties of the coatings are given in the table.
As a result of using the proposed electrolyte, the range of working current densities expands 2-4 times in comparison with the known electrolyte. The microhardness of the coatings obtained from the proposed electrolyte, 25-40% higher than deposited from a known electrolyte. The corrosion rate of coatings obtained from the proposed electrolyte is 2-3 times less than that deposited from a known solution.
Using the proposed electrolyte allows you to precipitate light, semi-shiny, tightly coupled to the base coating. Precipitation withstands bending at an angle of 90 o without kink and does not exfoliate from the base after heating at 250 o C for 1 hour and subsequent sudden cooling.
