Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of production of building and road materials and can be used in the manufacture of products such as front brick, front facing slab, side stone and paving slabs.
A known method of manufacturing ceramic products / 1 /, including grinding part of the quartz sand, mixing it with non-ground quartz sand, moistening the mixture with an alkali-containing binder, pressing the blanks, drying and firing, characterized in that before the grinding part of the quartz sand is added with glass and drill, and when moistened, caustic soda is introduced as an alkali-containing binder to obtain a ceramic mass of the composition, wt.%:
Ground quartz sand - 30-60
Cullet - 2-5
Borax - 3-5
Caustic soda (in terms of N 2 O) - 5-10
Ground Quartz Sand - Else
drying is carried out at 200-300 o C for 30-40 minutes, and firing is carried out at 850-900 o C for 70-80 minutes.
- необходимость использования буры и стеклобоя, что усложняет технологический процесс изготовления и увеличивает их себестоимость;
The disadvantages of this method are
- the need to use borax and cullet, which complicates the manufacturing process and increases their cost;
- the need for additional processing of finished products (their grinding and polishing) to obtain a surface with the texture of natural stone.
The closest in technical level and the achieved result is a method of manufacturing building ceramics based on natural sand and a ceramic product from a raw mixture containing, wt.%: Ground sand 30-60, an astringent, which is used as lime-sodium feldspar, or dozenit, or nepheline in combination with borate or sodium halide at a ratio of 0.5: 1.5-1: 15-10, filler 3-15, unmilled quartz sand the rest / 2 /.
The method consists in the fact that part of the sand and the binder are finely ground, mixed with non-ground sand, moistened depending on the ratio of sand fractions to 7-10%, briquetted on pallets at a pressure of 7-15 MPa, dried at 250-300 o С for 70 minutes, burn at 900-1000 o C for 90 minutes
- применение в качестве связующего вещества полевого шпата, доусенита и, тем более, нефелина в сочетании с галогенидами и боратами натрия не позволяет получить достаточную прочность изделий во влажном состоянии (после брикетирования) при температурах ниже 250oС, что может привести к значительному браку изделий при их транспортировке на сушку;
- все указанные в /2/ связующие вещества являются плавнями и расплавляются в интервале температур 900-1200oС, образуя стекловидную фазу в материале. Но основным материалом керамики является кремнезем, который уже при 870oС совершает фазовый переход в тридимит /3/, при этом объемные изменения в материале достигают 15%, что может быть причиной разрушения изделий при обжиге. Поэтому температура обжига кремнеземистой керамики или не должна превышать 870oС или лежать в пределах 1100-1400oС;
This method has the following disadvantages:
- the use as a binder of feldspar, dauzenite and, moreover, nepheline in combination with sodium halides and borates does not allow to obtain sufficient strength of the products in the wet state (after briquetting) at temperatures below 250 o C, which can lead to significant marriage of products during their transportation to drying;
- all the binders indicated in / 2 / are smooth and melt in the temperature range 900-1200 o C, forming a vitreous phase in the material. But the main material of ceramics is silica, which already at 870 ° C undergoes a phase transition to tridymite / 3 /, while volume changes in the material reach 15%, which can cause destruction of products during firing. Therefore, the firing temperature of silica ceramics or should not exceed 870 o C or lie in the range 1100-1400 o C;
- binders are dosed into a siliceous mixture in an amount of 10-15 wt. %, which is not enough to obtain the desired physical and mechanical properties of products, therefore, it is necessary to additionally introduce amorphous fillers (cullet, etc.), which complicates the manufacturing process of products and increases their cost.
The objective of the invention is the creation of a self-glazing silica ceramics obtained by low-temperature firing and having high performance characteristics.
The technical result is an increase in strength, water and frost resistance and the achievement of the effect of self-glazing of ceramic products.
%. The specified technical result is achieved in that the silica ceramics, including non-ground quartz sand, finely divided silica, lime-containing and halogen-containing components, are distinguished by the fact that for self-glazing of the product surface it additionally contains caustic soda and surfactant, calcium oxide as a halogen-containing component as a lime-containing component component - bischofite, in the following ratio of components, wt. %
Fine silica - 10-90
Calcium Oxide - 2-5
Bischofite - 0.5-1.5
Caustic soda (in terms of Na 2 O) - 1 -7
Surfactant (over 100%) - 0.1-0.5
Ground Quartz Sand - Else
A mixture of finely divided silica, calcium oxide and bischofite is subjected to mechanical-chemical treatment and dispersed in a continuous vibrocentrifugal mill to obtain a material with a specific surface area of 3500-5000 cm 2 / g. To the resulting mixture was added ground quartz sand and an aqueous solution of caustic soda (1-7 wt.% In terms of Na 2 O). In this case, the amount of water is taken with the calculation until the moisture content of the moldable mixture is 7-8% for semi-dry pressing and 9-12% for vibroforming.
To impart plasticity to the mixture, 0.1-0.5% (in excess of 100%) of a surfactant, for example, OP-7 or OP-10 reagent, is added to it and aerated for 2 minutes in a high-speed mixer at 2800-3000 rpm min
Flat products are made by vibroforming, bulk - by semi-dry pressing.
где где σ - предел прочности обожженного изделия при изгибе (для расчетов принимается от 15 до 80 МПа);
К - термический коэффициент линейного расширения кремнеземистой керамики (для расчетов К=12,82•10-6 С -1);
The molded products are dried in a stepwise mode with exposure at 90-140-200 o C, and firing to obtain a self-glazed surface of the products is carried out at 790-840 o C, while products with a larger mass are fired at a higher temperature. The firing mode is determined by the maximum allowable temperature difference between the surface and the center of the product. The calculation is carried out according to the formula
where where σ is the tensile strength of the calcined product in bending (from 15 to 80 MPa is taken for calculations);
K is the thermal coefficient of linear expansion of silica ceramics (for calculations, K = 12.82 • 10 -6 C -1 );
E is the modulus of elasticity of the calcined ceramic (for calculations, E cf = 15000 MPa.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the addition of an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide allows you to evenly distribute the sodium-containing substance in the ceramic mass during mixing. In this case, the activated silica is dissolved with alkali to form sodium silicate. As a result of this, the mass acquires astringent properties; products can be molded from it by dry pressing, vibroforming, or in another way.
Kremenesem is used in the form of finely quartz sand, marshallite, diatomite, tripoli, flask, fly ash, etc., with a specific free surface of grains from 3500 to 5000 cm 2 / g.
86,5%. To reduce the complexity and economy of the material, natural non-ground quartz sand is added to the finely ground mixture in an amount of not more than 86.5%.
0,5-1,0%. Drying products in a stepped mode avoids cracking and reduces the moisture content of the material to 0.5-1.0%.
В интервале температур 790-840oС происходит спекание материала за счет образования легкоплавкой эвтектики состава Na2О•SiО2- Na2О•3СаО•6SiO2-SiO2.In the process of firing at temperatures of 320-360 o With unreacted with silica, the alkali begins to melt, intensifying the formation of sodium silicate. In the temperature range of 790–840 o С, material sintering occurs due to the formation of a low-melting eutectic with the composition Na 2 О • SiО 2 - Na 2 О • 3СаО • 6SiO 2 -SiO 2 .
Due to the temperature difference over the cross section of the product, the compound Na 2 O • SiO 2 diffuses to the surface, forming a layer of silica glass on it in the form of a glaze.
High strength of the material is ensured by the uniform distribution of the sodium-containing component in it due to mixing and aeration of the mixture with the surfactant OP-7 or OP-10.
In addition, the dissolution of the surface of the silica grains with alkali during mixing and aeration contributes to their good wettability by the melt during sintering, which also increases the strength of the material.
During self-glazing of ceramics, silica glass, going to the surface of the product in the form of glaze, clogs the pores in the material, which reduces its water absorption to 1-5% and significantly increases frost resistance and abrasion.
When the content in the mass of caustic soda is less than 1 wt.%, The liquid phase practically does not form during firing, which significantly reduces the strength of the material. Self-glazing of the product surface does not occur either, and the water absorption of the material increases. The addition of more than 7% caustic soda leads to an increase in the fused layers between the grains of silica and increase the fragility of the material.
Na2O•SiO2.Calcium oxide is added in the form of ground slaked lime. CaO additive increases the strength of the molded products in the wet state, increases the water and frost resistance of the material, since the CaO • Na 2 O • SiO 2 system in the molten state is more water resistant than the Na 2 O • SiO 2 system .
The halogen-containing component - bischofite, starting from a temperature of 750 o C, is oxidized to magnesium oxide, and active MgO, as a strong flux, increases the strength, hardness and gloss of the glaze layer formed on the surface of the product.
The degree of glazing is determined by the gloss of the coating of the calcined product using the FB-2 photoelectric gloss meter.
