Abstract
Description
The invention relates to electronic equipment and can be used in the manufacture of electrolytic capacitors.
[1]. Electrolytic capacitors are known in which a carbon film deposited by vacuum deposition on the surface of a metal base is used as a current collector [1].
[2].Known electrolytic capacitors with an oxide dielectric containing a cathode consisting of a porous or non-porous base and a porous carbon coating consisting of a finely dispersed graphite coating with a specific surface area of 1300-2000 m 2 / g [2].
The disadvantages of coatings consisting of finely dispersed graphite include the relatively low values of the specific free surface, which implies the low value of the electric capacitance of capacitors made using such a coating.
Al2O3 [3].The closest in technical essence to the claimed solution is an electrolytic capacitor in which the cathode is formed by an electrically conductive substrate coated with an aluminum-based layer, which consists of a mixture of Al and Al 2 O 3 granules [3].
The disadvantages of this coating include chemical activity and, therefore, a predisposition to phase aging due to the oxidation of small Al granules, which leads to a decrease in the specific surface area of the conducting phase. This entails the degradation of the electrolytic properties of capacitors made on the basis of a foil modified with this coating.
The invention is aimed at increasing the efficiency of a porous coating, the stability of its properties, as well as the possibility of varying the capacitance of electrolytic capacitors by changing the structure and properties of the modifying coating.
This is achieved by the fact that the composition of the coating includes carbon in the form of nanoparticles. Thus, a new one is the replacement in the composition of the coating, consisting of a mixture of conductive and dielectric materials, aluminum by carbon in the form of nanoparticles.
To illustrate the claimed invention, we give an example of its implementation. A coating consisting of a mixture of these materials was applied to aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.06 mm and a purity of 99.99% by high-frequency magnetron sputtering of Al 2 O 3 and C in argon medium. The quantitative phase composition of the obtained layer corresponded to the limiting value of the electric capacitance.
The drawing shows microphotographs of the internal structure of the layer obtained by scanning (a) and transmission (b) electron microscopy. The diameter of the nanotubes does not exceed 80 nm. The physical basis for the formation of such a new composition is the ability of carbon to condense in argon (foreign gas phase) with the formation of nanoparticles in the form of fullerenes, nanotubes, etc. The heterogeneous composition of the coating (C + Al 2 O 3 ) and the form of nanoparticle carbon formations, in contrast to the closest analogue, make it possible to obtain layers with the maximum possible specific surface area of the conductive phase and, accordingly, the capacity, which is confirmed by the act of measurements performed on Voronezh Radio Parts Plant. The capacitance measurements performed two months after the manufacture of the coating showed the absence of degradation of the electrophysical properties of the coating.
As shown by experiments and measurements performed by the authors, the use of the proposed coating composition allows to increase the capacitance of the capacitor foil, which helps to solve the problem of miniaturization of electronic devices.
