Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the purification of exhaust gases from acidic components, and in particular to methods for purifying chlorine and hydrogen chloride-containing gases used in the production technology of titanium and magnesium, and can be used at enterprises of non-ferrous metallurgy and chemical industry.
455). There is a method of purification of gases from chlorine and hydrogen chloride, the essence of which is as follows: the exhaust gases are subjected to two-stage purification in the first stage with water, in the second with milk of lime (see Gordon G.M. Peysakhov I.L. Dust collection and gas purification. Publisher Metallurgy ". 1968, p. 455).
The disadvantage of this method is that when water is used in the first stage of purification, an aggressive liquid hydrochloric acid is formed, as a result of which the service life of the equipment is reduced.
Closest to the described is a method of purification of gases from chlorine and hydrogen chloride (see ed. St. USSR N 245036, CL B 01 D 53/14, 1969)
A known prototype method is as follows. The exhaust gases are purified from chlorine and hydrogen chloride in two stages by treatment with a suspension of CaCO 3 in calcium chloride in the first stage and with milk of lime in the second stage. Using this cleaning method eliminates the formation of hydrochloric acid and thereby increase the service life of the equipment.
The disadvantage of this method is the complexity of the technology due to the use of two different suspensions.
The invention will eliminate the above disadvantages of the known method, namely, to simplify the technology for capturing chlorine and hydrogen chloride by eliminating the need to use two suspensions of different compositions, the separation of which at the stage of preparation and transportation for gas purification is associated with duplication of labor costs for maintenance of pipelines and inefficient equipment.
Ca(OH)2 CaCO3 1 (0,2-1,5).For this, gas purification from chlorine and hydrogen chloride is carried out by treating them with an aqueous suspension of calcium hydroxide. Pre-crushed calcium carbonate is added to the suspension at a weight ratio of Ca (OH) 2 CaCO 3 1 (0.2-1.5).
в водную суспензию гидрооксида кальция предварительно добавляют карбонат кальция;
карбонат кальция добавляют в суспензию гидроксида кальция при массовом соотношении Ca(OH)2 CaCO3 1 (0,2-1,5);
A comparison of the proposed solution and the prototype shows that the proposed solution has new distinctive features:
calcium carbonate is added to the aqueous suspension of calcium hydroxide;
calcium carbonate is added to the suspension of calcium hydroxide in a mass ratio of Ca (OH) 2 CaCO 3 1 (0.2-1.5);
calcium carbonate is added crushed.
в водную суспензию гидрооксида кальция предварительно добавляют карбонат кальция;
карбонат кальция добавляют в суспензию гидрооксида кальция при массовом соотношении Ca(OH)2 CaCO3 1 (0,2-1,5);
It should be noted that the effect is achieved only with the simultaneous fulfillment of all the above conditions, namely:
calcium carbonate is added to the aqueous suspension of calcium hydroxide;
calcium carbonate is added to the suspension of calcium hydroxide at a mass ratio of Ca (OH) 2 CaCO 3 1 (0.2-1.5);
calcium carbonate is added crushed.
The implementation of the process of purification of gases from chlorine and hydrogen chloride by the proposed method simplifies the technology by eliminating the use of two suspensions of different compositions.
Example 1. Calcium carbonate is subjected to wet grinding to obtain the required size and uniformity of the product. In an aqueous suspension of calcium hydroxide with a content of Ca (OH) 2 100 g / l add calcium carbonate to a mass ratio of Ca (OH) 2 CaCO 3 1 0.5. The obtained alkaline pulp is used to purify gases from chlorine and hydrogen chloride (10 40 g / m 3 for Cl 2 , 1 6 g / m 3 for HCl, the rest is air) by irrigation of exhaust gases in hollow scrubbers. The degree of purification from chlorine was 99 from 99.9 of hydrogen chloride.
Example 2. Calcium carbonate is subjected to dry grinding to obtain the required size and uniformity of the product. In an aqueous suspension of calcium hydroxide with a content of Ca (OH) 2 70 80 g / l add calcium carbonate to a mass ratio of Ca (OH) 2 CaCO 3 1 1. The resulting alkaline pulp is used to purify gases from hydrogen chloride (1 6 g / m 3 HCl, the rest is air) by irrigation of exhaust gases in hollow scrubbers. The degree of purification from hydrogen chloride 99.9
From the above example it follows that the proposed method simplifies the technology of gas capture through the use of a suspension of the same composition, while providing a high degree of purification from chlorine and hydrogen chloride.
