Abstract
Description
The invention relates to methods for wastewater treatment from fluorine, in particular, solutions for gas purification of aluminum production.
1:(5-7) /1/. A known method of defluorination of natural water by treating water with a suspension of bentonite clay in a solution of aluminum-containing coagulant in a mass ratio of 1: (5-7) / 1 /.
However, this method does not allow to qualitatively clean fluorine solutions of aluminum production from fluorine at a high concentration of fluorine ions.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result to the claimed is a method of defluorination of water by treating it with hydrolyzed aluminum-containing coagulant (aluminum hydroxide) in the presence of a chemical reagent (or flocculant) / 2 /.
However, the known method does not allow sufficient purification of fluorine gas treatment solutions of aluminum production, due to the presence in them of a number of sodium salts such as Na 2 CO 3 , NaHCO 3 , NaF, Na 2 SO 4 and others.
The aim of the invention is to increase the degree of purification from fluorine gas treatment solutions of aluminum production.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the method of wastewater treatment from fluorine, including treatment with hydrolyzable aluminum-containing coagulant in the presence of a chemical reagent (or flocculant), according to the invention, carboxylic acid salts are used as a chemical reagent (or flocculant) after cleaning diesel fuel .
The process of purification of solutions for gas purification of aluminum production from fluorine is carried out at a temperature of 5-30 o C and pH 8.5-10. Aluminum hydroxide is activated by heat treatment of Al (OH) 3 at 300-600 o C, i.e. to the presence of crystalline moisture in it. Activated aluminum hydroxide in dry form is introduced into the solution to be purified in the presence of a flocculant. The amount of aluminum hydroxide depends on the concentration of fluoride ion in the solution. After that, the solution is mixed for 50-90 minutes. Studies have established that activated aluminum hydroxide has a high adsorption capacity for fluoride ion and its optimal consumption is 1 g per 0.17-0.18 g of fluorine at a concentration of flocculant in the purified solution of 20-50 mg / l. A flocculant representing carboxylic acid salts obtained in the form of liquors after purification of diesel fuel promotes aggregation of particles, thereby increasing the rate of their deposition and the degree of purification of the gas-cleaning solution of aluminum production.
Example.
The experiments on the purification of fluorine production aluminum solutions were carried out under laboratory conditions on industrial gas cleaning solutions of the Krasnoyarsk aluminum smelter. The studies were carried out in dishes with a capacity of 10-50 ml, with the introduction of aluminum hydroxide activated in the amount of 0.5-1.2 g, respectively, to the volume of the solution and the fluorine present in it in the form of NaF compound in the amount of 17.73 g / l. In addition to NaF, sodium salts were present in the gas purification solution, g / l: Na 2 CO 3 19.96; NaHCO 3 24.78; Na 2 SO 4 39.76. Salts of carboxylic acids were used as a flocculant, for example, in the form of a solution obtained from the purification of diesel fuel (liquor) containing more than 20 g / l of salts of carboxylic acids.
The experiments on cleaning fluorine-based gas-cleaning solutions of aluminum production were carried out at room temperature. Mixing the solutions was carried out with a mechanical stirrer. The contact time of activated aluminum hydroxide with a gas cleaning solution ranged from 5 to 90 minutes. The adsorption capacity of activated aluminum hydroxide to fluorine was calculated by the ratio of the NaF content before cleaning and after cleaning, as well as the ratio of the weight of activated aluminum hydroxide before cleaning and after cleaning the solution.
In parallel, experiments were conducted on the purification of fluorine solutions according to the prototype, where aluminum hydroxide was used as a chemical reagent. The prototype experiments were carried out under the same conditions and reagent costs.
The results of the experiments are shown in tables 1 and 2. From them it follows that the treatment of solutions of gas purification of aluminum production with activated aluminum hydroxide in the presence of carboxylic acid salts in the form of liquors obtained from the purification of diesel fuel gives positive results on the purification of solutions from fluorine.
Unlike the prototype, a precipitate containing aluminum fluoride salts (AlF 3 or NaAlF 6 ) is well precipitated in the solution and filtered. The addition of carboxylic acid salts to the process has a direct effect on the production of coarse sediment and an increase in its deposition rate.
The test results shown in the tables also show that at a dosage of 1 g of adsorbent and a mixing time of 10-90 min, the degree of purification of fluorine solutions from the proposed method reaches 95-99.9% compared with the prototype 10-15% and the degree of adsorption at the adsorbent flow rate of 0.9-10 g reaches 0.16-0.18 g / h compared with the prototype 0.02 g / h
The opportunity to purchase activated aluminum hydroxide for the enterprises of the aluminum industry is not difficult, because activated aluminum hydroxide can be produced in all alumina and aluminum plants in the production of alumina.
Thus, the test results show that, in comparison with the prototype of the inventive method increases the degree of purification from fluorine gas purification solutions of aluminum production.
