- as a result of the separation of a part of the root crop from the main mass, the remaining part will change its position relative to the crescent knife 4 (due to rotation) and falls under the action of the following knives 4 after half a turn and so on until it acquires dimensions comparable to the dimensions of the screw channel.

Further, the material comes out through the unloading window and, if necessary, can be additionally chopped with a knife 4, while the degree of chopping is regulated by the deck 7 with the corresponding size through sector or the number of knife blades 6.

The presence of a washing zone in the device will reduce the labor intensity and increase the productivity of the preparation of feed from root crops.
