Способ облесения склонов, включающий разметку лесокультурной площади, рытье канав в рядах поперек склона глубиной превышающей почвенный слой, укладку вырытой почвы в канавы, а остального грунта рядом с канавами вниз по склону, посадку древесных растений, отличающийся тем, что почвогрунт откосов и дна вырытых канав уплотняют, в междурядьях срезают часть почвенного слоя и заполняют им канавы с образованием валика, после чего оставшуюся в междурядьях почву уплотняют, а в образованный валик весной высаживают древесные растения, причем почвогрунт в канавах и почву в междурядьях уплотняют до плотности обеспечивающей максимальную водоудерживающую способность, при этом почву в междурядьях уплотняют в течение вегетационных периодов до смыкания крон в междурядьях.
