Свободнопоточная, напорная гидроэлектростанция, включающая в себя напорный водовод, плотину, водохранилище, донные (подледные) турбины, турбины ГЭС и насосные установки, отличающаяся тем, что плотина ГЭС строится не поперек, а вдоль реки, перекрывая один или несколько логов или ущелий, примыкающих к реке, с самыми неудобными для хозяйственного пользования землями, причем плотина создает напор, например, не только своей высотой, но и напорным водоводом, часть из которого проложена вдоль берега реки и в который, непосредственно или отдельным водоводом, в турбины ГЭС и водохранилище, донными (подледными), свободнопоточными турбинами, установленными в реке и работающими в блоке с насосными установками, закачивается вода реки, используя энергию ее свободного течения.
