Description
The utility model relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to the electrical contacts of low-voltage electrical relays, in particular the relay of railway automation.
To ensure safety conditions, first class relays are used in all railway automation devices that ensure the safety of rolling stock movement. To do this, they must satisfy, in the presence of a DC 2 A and a voltage of 24 V or an alternating current of 0.5 A and a voltage of 220 V (according to the existing operational technical requirements (ETT)), the following basic requirements:
- фронтовые и общие контакты не должны свариваться при любых условиях эксплуатации. Для фронтовых контактов применяется графит с металлическим наполнением (в основном серебро), а для общих и тыловых контактов серебро или его сплавы;- front and common contacts should not be welded under any operating conditions. For front contacts, graphite with a metal filling (mainly silver) is used, and for general and rear contacts, silver or its alloys;
- переходное сопротивление фронтовых контактов не более 0,3 Ом, тыловых контактов не более 0,03 Ом;- transient resistance of front contacts no more than 0.3 Ohm, rear contacts no more than 0.03 Ohm;
- скольжение контактов, для их самоочистки, у фронтовых контактов должно быть не менее 0,25 мм, а у тыловых контактов не менее 0,2 мм;- the sliding of the contacts, for their self-cleaning, must be at least 0.25 mm at the front contacts, and at least 0.2 mm at the rear contacts;
- контактное давление фронтовых контактов не менее 0,294 Н (30 гр.), а тыловых контактов не менее 0,147 Н (15 гр.);- the contact pressure of the front contacts is not less than 0.294 N (30 g), and the contact pressure of the rear contacts is not less than 0.147 N (15 g);
2000).- the relay should work stably at ambient temperatures from -40 to + 60 ° C and relative humidity up to 95% (Soroko V.I., Milyukov V.A. Equipment for railway automation and telemechanics: Handbook: in 2 books.
256).Known and widely used relays, in which the contact-piece for front contacts is an element in the form of a body of revolution, made by the method of powder metallurgy from a silver-graphite composition, pressed into a holder in the form of a bowl-shaped rivet, this composition contains 38-44% silver ( TU 16-538.158-72) (Soroko V.I., Milyukov V.A. Equipment of railway automatics and telemechanics:
The disadvantages of contacts are: instability of the contact resistance. At the stage of running-in paired with silver, the resistance is 0.1 Ohm, during operation it can abruptly increase to 0.3 Ohm, then decrease again. There is a wide spread in the switching resource (the number of contact actuation) from 1.4 to 2.0 million. The spread in the switching resource is due to the technological conditions for fixing the contact piece in the holder. The large spread in the dimensional accuracy of the manufacture of contacts (the lack of manufacture of products by powder metallurgy) does not allow creating identical conditions for fixing the contact parts in the holder.
Electrical contact between the walls of the cup-shaped holder and the contact-piece is provided by elastic pressing of the edges of the cup-shaped holder against the surface of the contact piece. To ensure a stable electrical contact, due to the action of the elastic forces of the bowl walls, it is necessary to exert considerable efforts to deform the bowl walls and the contact-part material. It is practically impossible to control the efforts required to deform the walls when pressing the cup-shaped holder, because the compression of the bowl takes place on the press, and the compression force is set by the stroke of the press punch. Since all parts are made with a certain dimensional tolerance, the compression forces on each part are different, therefore, in order to create reliable contact, they follow the path of increasing the strength properties of the material, creating the necessary margin of safety for the contact - the part when it is deformed during the pressing process. An increase in strength properties is possible due to an increase in the metal component in the silver-graphite composition, which is not desirable, since there is a possibility of welding contacts.
The instability of properties is also associated with the properties of the material and the manufacturing technology of contact parts. It was found that in a dissimilar contact pair, where one of the contacts is made of pure silver, and the second is made of a silver-graphite-containing composition, a decrease in silver in the composition from 55% (SG grade) to 40% (SG-60 grade - option 112D - VAR 112D) leads to an increase in the wear resistance of the contact pair, namely, to an increase in the number of operations from 200 thousand to 1.4-2 million. A further decrease in silver in the graphite-silver composition does not lead to an increase in wear resistance and a decrease in the transition resistance while maintaining the stability of these parameters during operation of contacts (Dymkovsky NV, Milovanova Y. Electrical contacts on railway transport. Electrical engineering, - 1965, No. 10, p. 33). This is due to the high-quality state of graphite, which is in the composition of the composite material (soot, graphite, coal tar pitch, bakelite varnish), which does not allow obtaining permanent electrical and mechanical properties of the material using powder metallurgy technology. A decrease in the graphite component in a composite material leads to an increase in the cost of the material, and on the one hand leads to an increase in the stability of properties, but significantly increases the weldability of contacts.
1/021).Known contact-piece, method and tool for its manufacture from fine-grained dense graphite obtained by high-temperature technology, the properties of which meet the requirements for contact materials. A contact piece made of a composite material in the form of a body of revolution is bounded by a lateral surface with a generatrix consisting of rectilinear and (or) curved segments, and two parallel surfaces of the bases, made of fine-grained dense graphite with a specific electrical resistance of no more than 16.0 μOhm⋅hm, compressive strength not less than 60 MPa, ash content not more than 0.3% and volumetric porosity not more than 20%, electrical resistivity and compressive strength are controlled in the direction of the axis of the body of revolution. A method of manufacturing a contact piece, which consists in preparing a flat workpiece from sintered fine-grained graphite with certain properties, with a thickness equal to the height of the contact piece, placing the workpiece in the fixture and cutting a part of the contact piece on one side, then reinstalling the workpiece and cutting out the rest contact-parts on the other hand, basing the workpiece when reinstalling is carried out along the surfaces of the previously cut part of the contact-part. The tool for the manufacture of a contact piece, consists of at least one cutting element offset relative to the axis of rotation of the tool, the cutting edges of which, when inserted into the workpiece, form the lateral surface of the contact piece (Patent RU2420823 on application 2009124800 dated 06/30/2009, IPC
This technical solution makes it possible to increase the wear resistance of the contact part, exclude the possibility of contact welding, and the accuracy of the manufacture of the contact part. As the contacts wear, the content of metal wear products in the contact area does not increase, which stabilizes the transition resistance between the contacts. The use of fine-grained dense graphite changes the entire traditional technology of manufacturing composite contact parts, when each contact part is manufactured by powder metallurgy (pp. 191-192. GA Libenson. Production of powder products M. Metallurgy. 1980.-240). This is due to the fact that the technology for producing fine-grained dense graphite differs significantly from the technology for producing contact parts obtained by powder metallurgy. The high compressive strength of fine-grained dense graphite improves the quality of fixing the contact part in the holder.
The disadvantage of this technical solution is the high resistivity of the contact of the part. This is due to the absence of conductive metals in the base material of the contact piece.
1/02).There is a known method of manufacturing electrical contacts based on graphite and metal additives, which consists in obtaining blanks by dimensional processing, where one of the physical or chemical methods of deposition of metals is used to add metal additives to the base, and in the case of the formation of a continuous layer on the surface intended for contact with the reciprocal contact, this layer is removed by sizing (RU 2380781 on application 2008139279 dated 03.0208, IPC
The disadvantage of this method is that metal additives, distributed discretely and unevenly in the volume of the base, have a maximum concentration in the surface layers and decrease from the surface deep into the base to zero, and when a continuous metal layer is formed on the surface, intended for contact with the counter surface of another contact , it is necessary to remove this layer.
11/06).There is a known method of making an electrical contact, which consists in the fact that initially by the method of dimensional machining, a contact piece is made of fine-grained dense graphite, the contact piece is impregnated with an aqueous solution of silver nitrate, placed in a container, covered with charcoal, reductive calcination is carried out at a temperature not higher than melting silver, while before impregnation, preliminary degassing of the contact piece and silver nitrate solution is carried out for 20-25 minutes, the contact piece is placed in a silver nitrate solution, impregnated according to the following regime: in vacuum - 7 ... 10 minutes, at atmospheric pressure - 1 ... 2 min, repeat the change of vacuum - atmosphere for 30-40 minutes, carry out reductive calcination according to the mode: heating for 75-80 minutes to a temperature of 100 ° -105 ° C, holding for at least 60 minutes, heating to 465 ° -470 ° C for 150-160 minutes, holding at this temperature for at least 3 hours, cooling to 370 ° -375 ° C for 30-35 minutes, and up to 270 ° -27 5 ° С for 50-60 minutes, and up to 170 ° -175 ° С within 150-160 minutes, unload the contact piece at a temperature in the oven not exceeding 110 ° С, impregnate the contact piece with an aqueous solution of silver nitrate, followed by reductive calcination according to the given
The proposed method of saturation of the contact piece with metallic silver made it possible to obtain a uniform distribution of pure silver in the pores of the graphite base, while the filling of the pores with metal particles was at least 7% by weight. As a result of this filling of the pores, the particles were in contact with each other with the formation of separate chains with good adhesion strength with the inner surface of the pores. This distribution of metallic silver has led to a decrease in electrical resistivity and, as a consequence, to a decrease in contact electrical resistance. In addition, the mechanical strength of the contact piece has increased.
The disadvantage of this technical solution is:
- при различных нагрузках, как механических, так и электрических, переходное сопротивление, в основном, увеличивается. По мере износа сопротивление растет незначительно, находясь в пределах допуска;- under various loads, both mechanical and electrical, the transition resistance, in general, increases. As wear progresses, the resistance increases slightly, being within the tolerance;
- при длительном хранении не работающих реле переходное сопротивление контактов реле с графито-серебряными контактами увеличивается;- during long-term storage of non-working relays, the contact resistance of the relay contacts with graphite-silver contacts increases;
- при работе реле, без электрических нагрузок, переходное контактное сопротивление контактов увеличивается и может превышать допустимые значения.- when the relay is operating, without electrical loads, the contact resistance of the contacts increases and may exceed the permissible values.
Исследования переходного контактного сопротивления проводились на работающих реле, имеющих различные электрические и механические нагрузки, а также на работающих реле без электрических нагрузок (холостой прогон), кроме этого исследовалось переходное сопротивление на контактах реле, находящихся на хранении (не работающих).These shortcomings were investigated in the work ("Contacts in the relay of railway automatics" authors N.I. Pivovarchik, BC Fadeev, Internet resource http://dspace.nbuv.gov.ua/handle/123456789/63587) studies of the transient resistance of relay contacts with graphite-silver contacts. Investigations of the transient contact resistance were carried out on working relays having various electrical and mechanical loads, as well as on working relays without electrical loads (idle run), in addition, the transition resistance on the relay contacts that are in storage (not working) was investigated.
The main reason for the unstable electrical contact resistance during long-term storage and operation of the relay in the absence of electrical loads is the formation of oxide films on the contact surface with the participation of various substances in the atmosphere and poorly conducting electric current.
The solution to the problem of stabilizing and reducing the electrical contact resistance of the relay contacts by increasing the contact pressure (pressure), and increasing the length of the sliding path of the contacts is unacceptable, such a solution leads to a change in the ETT, and a constructive change in the relay, which is unacceptable.
Based on the requirements of the ETT, the contacts must self-clean during operation, which happens when the relay operates under load. When the contacts are closed and opened, with the formation of an electric arc, erosion of the graphite contacts occurs. The relative movement of the contacts leads to the appearance of new oxidized surfaces, with a higher contact electrical resistance. This reflects the results obtained, a slight increase in contact electrical resistance.
In this technical solution, it is proposed to form a boundary layer on the surface of the electrical contact from the anions of di- (alkylpolyethylene glycol) phosphoric acid ester of the KD-6 brand of the surfactant (surfactant) oxyphos, structural formula [RO (CH 2 CH 2 O) n ] 2P, where R is an alkyl group containing 8-10 carbon atoms; n is on average 6. To form ionic surfactant layers, aqueous and alcohol solutions are used. When a surfactant dissolves in water, the molecules dissociate into ions with hydrophobic residues (tails). When the contact surface is wetted with a surfactant solution, hydrophobic residues adhere to the irregularities of the contact surface, forming a protective electrically neutral layer. Subsequently, upon evaporation of water, layers of ions are formed with the direction of the hydrophobic residue of the molecules outward, as a result of which a hydrophobized electrically neutral surface is formed.
When the boundary ionic layer of the surfactant is formed, all irregularities of the contact surface are covered, including the inner walls of the pores. The boundary layer is formed on individual microparticles of graphite and on droplets of condensed gaseous substances on the surface. Since surfactant ions are attracted by the head part to the contact surface and to particles on the surface, the contact surface becomes electrically neutral. In addition, the surface is degreased, and further adsorption by the contact surface of microscopic droplets from gaseous substances in the atmosphere does not occur. On working relays, in the absence of an electrical load on the graphite contacts having an anionic surfactant boundary layer, the formation of an oxide film will decrease. The presence of a mechanical action on the contacts leads to microscopic destruction of graphite materials, which remain in the contact zone, from which dielectric films are subsequently formed. With repeated sliding of the metal contact over the graphite surface, dielectric films are formed in the form of islands. The authors' studies of graphite contacts having a boundary layer of surfactant anions have shown that the number of films is significantly reduced, the formation of islands is practically absent, and the formed islands are small in area (less than 5 μm 2 ). This contact surface has a stable contact resistance. When the current is switched on, the electric field rotates the base surfaces of the graphite, seeking to increase the electrical conductivity. For orientation perpendicular to the graphite planes, it is not required to increase the current strength, the current values within the standard value are sufficient. Such a mechanism of operation of the contacts of a relay having a boundary anionic surfactant layer on the surface is consistent with a decrease in the number and size of the base surfaces of graphite, oriented in the plane of contact movement, and with studies carried out to determine the transient contact resistance.

The authors of the proposed technical solution have established that filling the pores of the base with metals with high electrical conductivity affects the stability of the contact electrical resistance, the mechanical strength of the base material. Pores can be filled with various metals (silver, copper and others) and various technological methods. The level of filling the pores in the base, the distribution of the filler material in the volumes of the base, what material should be in the pores and the method of filling the pores are determined depending on the conditions and operating modes of the relay. In this case, for railway automation devices that ensure the safety of rolling stock using relays of the first class, the pores should be filled with pure silver in the amount of 6-9% of the mass in the pores of the graphite base, in the form of individual inclusions with good adhesion strength the inner surface of the pores in contact with each other to form separate chains. This filling of the pores with pure silver contributes to an increase in the mechanical strength and wear resistance of the contacts, and the stabilization of the contact electrical resistance at the relay contacts.

For the practical implementation of the inventive contact detail of a low-voltage electromagnetic relay, structural graphite of the MPG7 grade is used as the base material, having a volumetric porosity of 18%, electrical resistivity of 12 μOmm, compressive strength of at least 60 MPa, ash content of no more than 0.3%. The filling of the pores of the base with metallic silver was carried out by evacuating the contact parts in a 50% solution of silver nitrate, followed by washing in distilled water, drying, and reducing calcination in a carbon atmosphere until the weight gain of the contact part was 7 wt. %, with silver particles forming individual metal chains in the pores. The resulting contact parts had a reduced electrical resistivity and increased mechanical strength. Then, on the surface of the electrical contact from an aqueous solution (possibly forming from an alcohol solution), a boundary layer was formed from the anions of di- (alkylpolyethylene glycol) phosphoric acid ester of the KD-6 grade of the surfactant (surfactant) oxyphos. When the contact surface is wetted with a surfactant solution, hydrophobic residues adhere to the irregularities of the contact surface, forming a protective electrically neutral layer. Later, upon evaporation of water, layers of ions were formed with the direction of the hydrophobic residue of the molecules outward, forming a hydrophobized electrically neutral surface. When the boundary ionic layer of the surfactant is formed, all irregularities of the contact surface are covered, including the inner walls of the pores. Also, the surface is degreased, and further adsorption by the contact surface of microscopic droplets from gaseous substances in the atmosphere does not occur.
Thus, the proposed contact-piece of a low-voltage electromagnetic relay has a low manufacturing complexity, increased mechanical strength and switching resistance, increased stability of the transient electrical resistance during switching, both in the working relay contacts and in the relay contacts periodically operating without electrical load, as well as stored relays.
