Abstract
The process comprises a method of producing parts of various alloys, with complex sepn. surfaces and geometries. The half-moulds are made of e.g. film-formm ferrous metal powders produced by heating of a pattern. The half-moulds are assembled and the cast alloy undergoes controlled cooling in a frame filled with ferrous material. They are formed from blends incorporating sodium silicate. Otherwise, on using a cold metal pattern, the moulds consist of a mixt. of ferrous powders, cement, and catalyst, e.g. phosphoric acid.
