Abstract
Inventia are drept obiect un bloc catodic carbunos, cu cadere slaba de tensiune, destinat cuvelor pentru obtinerea aluminiului, conform procedeului Hall-Heroult, aceste cuve cuprizand un cheson metalic paralilipipedic care sprijina un catod pe care se formeaza stratul de aluminiu lichid, acest catod fiind constituit prin suprapunerea de blocuri carbunoase paralelipipedice, de forma alungita, avand un raport: lungimea axului mare fata de latime de cel putin egal cu doi si în care este taiata cel putin o canelura în care este etansata o bara din otel dispusa paralel cu latura mica a chesonului si care este cel putin un colector catodic, canelurile de etansare fiind taiate în sensul perpendicular pe axul mare al blocului, care este el însusi dispus paralel cu latura mare a chesonului. Asociind prin lipire pe o fata laterala mare a unui prim bloc, se constituie un semimodul catodic, a carui latime corespunde la semi-latimea chesonului metalic. Asociind doi semi-moduli, printr-un mijloc, cum ar fi lipirea, se constituie un modul catodic, a carui latime corespunde cu latimea catodului.
