Procedeu de obtinere a alchilbenzenilor prin alchilarea compusilor corespunzatori în prezenta triclorurii de aluminiu în calitate de catalizator, caracterizat prin aceea ca, în scopul obtinerii unor randamente superioare, executa reactia de alchilare la temperatura de 50.....180 degree C si la presiunea de 2....20 at, catalizatorul formîndu-se în situ prin introducerea în mediu de reactie a aluminiului metalic si a tetraclorurii de carbon, în raporturi în greutate cuprinse între 10:0,08 si 1:17.
