Abstract
The process comprises mixing of tetrabromo bisphenol A diglycidyl ether and polybasic acid anhydride, with addn. of Al(OH)3 and triethanol amine hardener. The ether is prepd. by homogenisation of a prescribed brominated epoxy resin phthalic anhydride Al trihydrate and Al monohydrate mix at 120 deg. C. The anhydride is a homogenised brominated epoxy resin, triethanol amine Al trihydrate and Al monohydrate mix at 105-110 deg. C. The moulding mix is poured into dies at 110 deg. C for 2 hr. hardening and 2 hr. hardening at 130 deg. C.
