The present invention relates to an assembly consisting of a metal container and the hermetic seal cap which are designed to make said assembly highly efficient for the purpose for which it is intended, in all its aspects the sets that until now are known for similar purposes. The feature set of the present invention is intended to contain paints or analogous products which require a hermetic seal in order not to deteriorate or lose their qualities and properties, being of the type in which the container is formed by a body of more or less cylindrical or frusto-conical shape whose base is materialized by a bottom which is coupled by peripheral engagement or a similar and conventional fastening system, at the same time as the mouth of the container is adapted to receive a cap which normally is applied to the pressure with the interposition of a gasket. The feature set of the present invention, which is of the type referred to in the previous paragraph, is fundamentally characterized in that the mouth of the container has a peripheral ridge whose profile is similar to that of a pear, with a perfectly rounded edge of reduced radius of curvature.

Another feature of the assembly is that the lateral surface of the container has, underneath the peripheral collar, an angular protrusion of wide amplitude of obtuse angle, and realized in an annular manner. whereby said cap has a discontinuous annular flange having an angular profile which is complementary to that formed on the side surface of the container, and which constitutes the system for immobilising and retaining both parts or bodies (container and lid) of the container. with respect to the other. The upper edge of said cap extends through a broad semicircular collar which is terminated by means of a peripheral ring, being positioned between the concavity defined between said semicircular collar of the cap and the upper rounded edge of the container, a gasket deformable seal. On the basis of the figures to which reference has previously been made, the container (1) and the closure cap (2) are bodies formed in sheet and which have a shape which is 6 may be regarded as cylindrical or frustoconical, the body of which the closure cap 2 is formed is of reduced height.
