Description

Srodek wedlug wynalazku zawiera 2—8 czesci wagowych, najkorzystniej — 5 czesci wagowych kwasu p-aminobenzoesowego, 3i—6 czesci wagowych glikolu polietylenowego, oraz 86—9,5 czesci wago¬ wych 40—60-procentowego roztworu wodnego alko¬ holu etylowego. Srodek wedlug wynalazku wykazuje znacznie lepsze dzialanie od znanego preparatu beztluszczo¬ wego „Pabanolu", stanowiacego roztwór kwasu p-aminobenzoesowego w 70-procentowym alkoholu z dodatkiem srodków emulgujacych.Nieoczekiwanie korzystny efekt dzialania srodka wedlug wynalazku stwierdzono na podstawie ba¬ dan jego dzialania przeciwrumieniowego. Tak wiec gdy „Pabanol" zapewnia ochrone skóry przed pro¬ mieniowaniem UV w wysokosci 5 MED {MED — minimalna dawka rumieniowa), srodek wedlug wy¬ nalazku przy stezeniu kwasu p-aminobenzoesowe¬ go wynoszacym 5 czesci wagowych, zapewnia ochrone w wysokosci 20. MED, a wiec wykazuje czterokrotnie silniejsze dzialanie.Jako glikol polietylenowy mozna stosowac latwo dostepny Polikol 400. PL PLAn agent protecting against ultraviolet radiation causing sunburn. The subject of the invention is an agent protecting against ultraviolet radiation causing sunburn. It is known that when exposed to sunlight, the skin can be irritated, even leading to severe burns. In order to counteract these negative effects of sunlight, various preparations are used to absorb ultraviolet rays in the range of 2900-300 A, because it is mainly radiation of this wavelength that causes sunburn. There are a number of chemical compounds that absorb the above UV rays. said wavelength. These include, for example, benzimidazole derivatives, coumarins, as well as acids such as cinnamic, salicylic, anthranilic and p-aminobenzoic acids, and their derivatives. These compounds are most often used in the form of solid or liquid preparations ( ointments, creams, emulsions) based on natural fats or mineral oils, based on the assumption that the oil component additionally exerts a beneficial effect on the skin and causes better adhesion of the preparation to the skin. Therefore, as a result of sweating or bathing, the preparation is not washed off the skin and its protective effect is relatively long. The use of fat preparations is not always convenient, however, because they cause sand and dust to stick to the skin. . Thus, for aesthetic and hygienic reasons, their use is limited. Such preparations cannot be used, for example, by sailors residing in tropical zones, or members of high-mountain expeditions, because they soil their clothes. Bearing the above in mind, attempts were made to develop a non-fat preparation protecting against sunburn. These known fat-free preparations are water-alcoholic solutions of a substance that absorbs ultraviolet rays in the range of 29 ° C-3,100 A. The disadvantage of these preparations is that when applied to the skin, after alcohol and water evaporation, they excessively dry the skin, and also create a thin film. protective substance, which is destroyed under the influence of water as well as light friction. Thus, the protective effect of the preparation ceases. The aim of the invention was to develop a fat-free preparation that protects against the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, has good adhesion to the skin and does not wash off quickly by water, as well as does not rub off quickly due to rubbing, a towel or It has been found that by adding polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 200-400 to an appropriately concentrated hydroalcoholic solution of p-aminobenzoic acid, an agent is obtained that exceeds its effectiveness in the previously known preparations, and moreover, 4, characterized by better and more durable adhesion to the skin. The agent according to the invention contains 2 - 8 parts by weight, most preferably - 5 parts by weight of p-aminobenzoic acid, 3-6 parts by weight of polyethylene glycol, and 86-9.5 parts by weight of 40- A 60% aqueous solution of ethyl alcohol. The concentration of the solution mentioned was found to be alcohol-water does not dry the skin, and most importantly, it provides the most optimal saturation of the stratum corneum with p-aminobenzoic acid, and thus - full protection against the sun. The presence of glycol reduces the sensitivity of the agent to washing, sweating and rubbing. The agent according to the invention shows a much better performance than the known non-fat preparation "Pabanol", which is a solution of p-aminobenzoic acid in 70% alcohol with the addition of emulsifying agents. Unexpectedly beneficial. The effect of the agent according to the invention was found on the basis of the research on its anti-erythema action. Thus, while "Pabanol" provides skin protection against UV radiation in the amount of 5 MED (MED - minimum erythema dose), the agent according to the invention at the concentration of acid p -aminobenzoic acid, 5 parts by weight, provides a protection of 20. MED, and therefore has a four times greater effect. As polyethylene glycol, easily available Polikol 400 can be used. EN EN
