The lantern's cover, according to the industrial design, has a body similar to a truncated cone resting on a cylindrical base. The cover gradually widens from the bottom with recesses, which have edges running diagonally upward on the front walls and continuing to the side walls, meeting in their central part. The wall of the last step, of considerable height, tapering towards the top and capped by a cylindrical, two-piece collar, is decorated with poppy flower leaves. These leaves are arranged in a single point at the base and spread out in a fan-like manner onto the side walls.
