Palniki sklepieniowe 3, zapewniaja lep¬ sza regulacje i przekazywanie ciepla poprzez zblizanie do wsaldu wiazki plomienia z palni¬ ków kanalowych 1. Zastosowanie ruchomych palni¬ ków sklepieniowych 3 odpowiednio pochylo¬ nych spelnia swe zadanie i powoduje skróce¬ nie ozasu topnienia wsadu pieców i w mak-symalnytm srtopniu wykomystanie ciepla plo¬ mienia. F\ig. 12, przedstawia w przekroju pio¬ nowym budowe jednego palnika sklepieniowe¬ go 3, umieszczonego w elemencie sklepienia 4. C 21 c Method of firing open-hearth furnaces The patent is valid from April 29, 19612. The subject of the invention is a method of firing open-hearth furnaces using multiple burners installed in the vault. Until now, open-hearth furnaces were fired with gas fuel, only by means of channel burners placed in heads on the sides of the furnace. They supply gas and air to the working space of the furnace and remove burnt gas from the working space. This produces a single flame stream from one burner, through the working space of the furnace to the other burner. This method of firing provides a small flame surface on the charge, despite the use of additives in the form of oil or tar enriching the carbon monoxide gas, and at the same time causes intensive heating of the vault, *) The patent owner declared that the co-authors of the invention are Leopold Juszczyk, M.Sc. Eng., Roman Wojtala, M.Sc. Eng., Julian Romanczyk, M.Sc. Eng., Stanisław Tochowicz, M.Sc. Eng., Stanisław Bednarczyk, M.Sc. Eng., and Kazimierz Levittoux, M.Sc. Eng. which in turn causes its rapid wear and thus shortens the life of the furnace. Such furnaces with partially burnt heads operate very unevenly and do not achieve optimal efficiency. The method according to the invention eliminates these disadvantages. The drawing shows the elements of a Martan furnace in the cracked configuration shown in Fig. 1, with channel burners 1 and vault burners 3 visible. In addition to the known channel burners 1f, multiple vault burners 3 are installed in the furnace roof, through which additional fuel in the form of box gas, natural gas, oil or tar is fed. The vault burners 3 ensure better heat control and transfer by bringing the flame beam from the channel burners 1 closer to the charge. The improved heat transfer conditions are achieved provided that the heat supplied by the vault burners 3 does not exceed a certain amount determined by experience. The use of movable vault burners 3, appropriately inclined, fulfills its purpose and shortens the melting time of the furnace charge and maximizes the utilization of the flame heat. Figure 12 shows a vertical cross-section of the structure of one vault burner 3, placed in the vault element 4.
