Abstract

The subject of the invention is a method of growing tomato plants, characterized in that during the entire growth period of the tomato plants, they are subjected to cyclic ozonation at least once a week in an ozone atmosphere with a concentration of 0.1 ppm to 2 ppm for at least 1 minute. The invention also relates to a method of shifting the growing season of tomato plants by subjecting the cultivation of tomato plants throughout their growth period to cyclic ozonization at least once a week in an ozone atmosphere with a concentration of 0.1 ppm to 2 ppm for at least 1 minute. The subject of the invention is also a method of extending the shelf life of tomato fruits after harvesting as a result of acquiring properties during the cultivation of tomato plants, during which tomato plants are subjected to cyclical ozonation, at least once a week, in an ozone atmosphere throughout their growth, at least once a week. from 0.1 ppm to 2 ppm for at least 1 minute, as well as a method of shifting the time to maturity of the green tomato after harvesting, during storage, by acquiring the properties during the cultivation of the tomato plants, in which the tomato plants throughout the period their growth is subjected to cyclical ozonation, at least once a week, in an ozone atmosphere with a concentration of 0.1 ppm to 2 ppm for at least 1 minute. Another object of the invention is the use of ozone.
