Przedmiotem wynalazku jest stal do wytwarzania blachy pancernej, zawierająca węgiel, mangan, krzem, fosfor, siarkę, chrom, nikiel, molibden, a także mikrododatki w postaci niobu, wanadu, tytanu i boru, a ponadto aluminium i resztę żelazo oraz nieuniknione domieszki i zanieczyszczenia pochodzące z procesu metalurgicznego. Wynalazek charakteryzuje się tym, że zawiera pomiędzy 0,36 - 0,40% wagowych węgla, pomiędzy 0,70 - 0,85% wagowych manganu, pomiędzy 0,30 - 0,40% wagowych krzemu, maksymalnie 0,012% wagowych fosforu, maksymalnie 0,005% wagowych siarki, maksymalnie 0,25% wagowych miedzi, pomiędzy 0,65 - 0,80% wagowych chromu, pomiędzy 1,60 - 1,70% wagowych niklu, pomiędzy 0,40 - 0,50% wagowych molibdenu, pomiędzy 0,04 - 0,05% wagowych aluminium, pomiędzy 0,03 - 0,05% wagowych wanadu, pomiędzy 0,01 - 0,02% wagowych tytanu oraz pomiędzy 0,002 - 0,003% wagowych boru.
