Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for producing halloysite adsorbent for removing Hg2 + mercury ions from the aqueous phase from 8 parts by weight of weed scum with an iron content of 3.5% by weight and a water content of 15% by weight and 2 parts by weight of distilled water and 12 parts by weight of technical sulfuric acid (VI ) at a concentration of 25% by weight, and the whole is stirred by heating for 180 min. at 353 K. This method involves adding the same volume of 353 K distilled water to the halloysite preparation after separation of the reaction liquor and the whole is mixed in an ultrasonic field of 25 kHz and 10 W for 15 min. Then, after separating the distilled water from the halloysite preparation, the same volume of distilled water at 353 K is again added and the whole is mixed in an ultrasonic field of 25 kHz and 8 W for 25 min.
