Zgłoszenie dotyczy sposobu wytwarzania octanu androst-1,4,6-trien-3-on-17-olu o wzorze 2. W wyniku działania preparatu enzymatycznego o aktywności AcmB uzyskanego ze szczepu bakterii Sterolibacterium denitrificans Chol-1S DSM: 13999, następuje regioselektywna dehydrogenacja między pierwszym i drugim atomem węgla cząstki substratu (wzór 1). Uzyskany w ten sposób produkt oczyszcza się metodą SPE z zastosowaniem polimerowych kolumienek chromatograficznych Strata-X, znanym sposobem, stosując izopropanol jako eluent.
