Sposób syntezy izomeru kwasu monokawoilochinowego lub dikawoilochinowego, polega na tym, że ester kwasu O,O-diacetylokawowego, będący donorem grupy acylowej, poddaje się enzymatycznej transestryfikacji w obecności kwasu chinowego lub estru kwasu chinowego w rozpuszczalniku wybranym spośród rozpuszczalników polarnych.
