Description
Opublikowano dnia 1 kwietnia 1958 r. £ lim? PLPublished April 1, 1958. £ lim? ^ POLISH PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC PATENT DESCRIPTION No. 40766 KI, 8 i, 5 Stanislaw Karczewski Warsaw, Poland Manufacturing method for a washing agent containing water glass The patent is valid from August 17, 1957. «For laundry purposes, water glass is used in a liquid state and separately per- hydrol. The distribution of the above ingredients in a liquid state is very difficult due to the necessity to use a glass container, large warehouses for storage and means of transport with a significant tonnage. In addition, in winter, the water glass freezes during transport, as well as in unheated warehouses. The above difficulties mean that the demand of the retail market for water glass is met only at a very slight cost. This problem is solved by the introduction to dry trade. a substance in the form of cubes or a powder consisting of water glass and perhydrol, which may be supplemented with soap or other washing agents. Dry water glass is obtained from a normal technical water glass solution containing SiO 2: Na 2 O = 2.6-3.0 by increasing the silica to the ratio SiO2: Na2O = = 3.2-3.4. The enriched silica solution is evaporated at a temperature not exceeding 750 ° C. The solution thus concentrated must not contain more than 25% water. After cooling, the water glass is in the form of a tough jelly to which, with constant stirring, the required amount of perhydrol, for example about the weight of water glass, is added. The mixed water glass with perhydrol is left to react (stabilize) for 12 hours and after that time the mass swells very slowly, increasing its volume several times and solidifies. The obtained product is dried at a temperature not exceeding 300 ° C for about 3 hours, obtaining a light, floating mass that dissolves very easily and emits active perhydrol, which during the production process of this agent was vaulted in water glass particles .
