To improve the cushioning capacity of the barrier (6) at the moment of collision with the vehicle, the post has an additional two intermediate walls (8) substantially perpendicular to the side walls (2), each of which connects the side wall (2) to the diagonal wall (4). The invention also relates to a protective road barrier comprising such a post.
