Stosunek amidu kwasu 5-amino-izoftalowego do glinki smektycznej wynosi 6:10.The invention discloses a method of modifying the surface properties of smectic clays used as polymer fillers. Smectic clay is added to the aqueous solution of the 5-amino-isophthalic acid amide in an aliphatic alcohol, preferably methanol, acidified, preferably with hydrochloric acid, and mixed until a homogeneous suspension is obtained at a temperature below 76 ° C, and then separated in a known manner. The ratio of 5-amino-isophthalic acid amide to smectic clay is 6:10.
