Wynalazek dotyczy sposobu animalizacji wló¬ kna drzewnego. x Urzadzenia i naczynia przemyslowe wykony¬ wane z drewna nie znalazly dotychczas powsze¬ chnego zastosowania ze wzgledu na koniecznosc powlekania powierzchni drewna powlokami o- chronnymi, wytwarzanymi z produktów tluszczo¬ wych i zywicznych. Niedogodnosc te usuwa spo¬ sób wedlug wynalazku, polegajacy na animali- zowaniu wlókna drzewnego. Obróbka objeta tym sposobem zmienia zasadniczo charakter drewna i nadaje mu cechy jednorodnej, rogowatej masy, przesyconej substancjami zwierzecymi osadzo¬ nymi na wlóknie drewna, stanowiacego wypel¬ niacz dla organicznych zwiazków aminokarbo- ksylowych. Wedlug wynalazku animalizowanie najkorzystniej jest wykonac przez nasycanie dre¬ wna, uprzednio wyjalowionego, koloidalnymi roz¬ tworami bialka zwierzecego i garbowaniu go w znany sposób aldehydami pod zwiekszonym cisnieniem. Drewno, nasycone ustabilizowanym zelem, jest odporne na zmiany temperatury, sta¬ nowi trwala jednorodna mase o gladkiej, nie- przyczepnej i latwo zmywalnej powierzchni, a wiec tym samym sterylnej. Drewno takie daje sie wiec zastosowac do wyrobu róznego ro¬ dzaju naczyn znajdujacych zastosowanie np. w mleczarstwie. PL
