Najprostszy przyrzad do elektrolizy wody sklada sie z pewnej liczby zelaznych lub z innego metalu elektrod dodatnich i ujemnych, pograzonych w zbiorniku wody ii pewna zawartoscia sody albo potazu kau¬ stycznego.Przyrzad jest polaczony z pradnica pradu stalego. Na biegunie dodatnim wy¬ wiazuje sie tlen, na ujemnym wodór, a dla przeszkodzenia mieszania si|e dwóch ga¬ zów oddzielamy dwie przylegle elektro¬ dy jedna lub dwoma porowaitemi prze¬ ponami, np, plótnem azbestowem, które zapobiegaja mieszaniu sie gazów.Dla lepszego wyniku elektrolizy i wy¬ zyskania przyrzadu jest waznem, aby róz¬ nica napiecia miedzy dwoma przeciwlegle- mi punktami elektrod przeciwnych byla stala, a równiez, alby przewodnictwo elek¬ trolitu pomiedzy dwoma czynnemi po¬ wierzchniami byla stala w kazdym punk¬ cie.Wymienionym warunkom nie odpowia¬ daja uzywane dotad woltometry. Doprowa¬ dzenie i odprowadzenie pradu odbywa sie przez górna czesc elektrod, tak, ze pomie¬ dzy górnemi czesciami dwóch przeciwnych elektrod napiecie osiaga maksymum, a dla dolnych czesci posiada minimum, poniewaz róznica tych wartosci zalezy od oporu we¬ wnetrznego elektrod, Poza tern przewod- niotwo elektrolitu zmienia sie stosownie do gestosci roztworu elektrolitu, poniewaz pecherzyki gazu gromadza! sife w górnej czesci cieczy i przeistaczaja takowa w prawdziwa emulsje.Przyrzad do elektrolizy, wedlug niniej¬ szego wynalazku^usuwai powyzsze wady. 4. PLThe simplest apparatus for the electrolysis of water consists of a number of positive and negative electrodes of iron or other metal, exposed in a water reservoir, and some sodium or caustic potash. The apparatus is connected to a DC generator. At the positive pole, oxygen is produced, at the negative pole, hydrogen is produced, and to prevent the mixing of the two gases, separate the two adjacent electrodes with one or two porous diaphragms, for example, with asbestos cloth, which prevent the gases from mixing. It is important that the voltage difference between the two opposite points of the opposing electrodes is constant and that the conductivity of the electrolyte between the two active surfaces be constant at each point. the conditions do not correspond to the voltometers used so far. The current is supplied and discharged through the upper part of the electrodes, so that between the upper parts of the two opposite electrodes the voltage reaches a maximum and for the lower parts it has a minimum, because the difference between these values depends on the internal resistance of the electrodes. - the electrolyte changes according to the density of the electrolyte solution as the gas bubbles accumulate! They live in the upper part of the liquid and turn it into a real emulsion. The electrolysis device, according to the present invention, eliminates the above drawbacks. In the drawings, various variants are presented, the 1st variation shows the figure. 1, 2, 3, 4, of which fig. 1 - cross-section of electrodes A and B, fig. 2 and 3 - longitudinal sections, fig. 4 - details of the opposite surfaces of the electrodes, A and f are two iron electrodes or other metals contained in vessel C from which they are insulated; each electrode has one or two tubes / and soldered iron plates 2 of the shape shown in Fig. 4. The plates are shaped in such a way that the gases emanating on the active surfaces are immediately introduced inside the electrode. To insulate electrodes A and B and to prevent gas mixing, one or two diaphragms are placed between the active surfaces as close to each other as possible. The brushes 4 direct the current from below to the electrodes fi, passing through the tube / from which They are iterated with asbestos fibers. The brushes 5 direct the current from above to the electrodes A. Small shells made of insulating material collect the separated gases, which are then led out over the cable 7, the second version is shown in Figs. 5, 6 and 7, of which 5 is a cross-section of electrodes A and 1, and Figs 6 and 7 are a longitudinal cross-section The design is similar to the first version, with the difference that the electrodes B are supplied with current from the bottom by brushes 4 that goes down from receiver and are properly insulated. The current is supplied to the electrodes A from above by means of brushes 5. The 3rd variant according to Figures 8, 9 and 10 shows in Fig. 8 a cross section of electrodes A and Bf, Figures 9 and 10, longitudinal section; made is similar to the first version with the difference that when the electrodes A are insulated there from the tank C and the current is supplied from the top of the ignition of brushes 5, here on the contrary, the electrodes B form an electrical whole with the tank to which they are soldered and the current is supplied from the bottom by brushes 4. The reservoir takes part in the electrolysis and for this purpose is separated from the other electrodes by a porous diaphragm covering the entire inner surface. The electrolysis apparatus according to the invention has several advantages: 1. because the active surfaces are the electrodes are very similar, a minimum electrical resistance is obtained despite being separated by one or two porous diaphragms; 2. due to the special structure of the electrodes, the released gases are immediately discharged into the interior of the electrodes, so that the opposing active surfaces are always clean and the electrolyte resistance between the surfaces is reduced to a minimum; 3. the energy expenditure for each unit of gas volume is significantly reduced; 4. the gases obtained are absolutely clean, because with the special structure of the electrodes, the separation of gases is automatic and supplemented by diaphragms; 5. the voltage of the current supplied to the two adjacent electrodes in the opposite direction is evenly distributed between the electrodes, while at the same time the active surfaces are completely exploited. Finally, it is possible to use electrodes of considerable length or height, thus saving space, weight and additional factors. PL
