Abstract

The present invention relates to a cigarette box and its blanks together with the configuration of their joints. The cigarette box according to the invention is based on a rectangular prism, and includes a storage space intended to store the cigarettes and a hinged lid (1) joined to the storage part by means of an articulated joint (47) placed on the rear wall (2). The subject of the invention is a package for cigarettes with a flap that can be tilted independently of the top cover, its blanks and their configuration system.

Patent US 3,011,630 discloses a cigarette box attached to matches. In the indicated box, the matches are displayed when the box is opened and are protected by an overlapping lid or flap when the box is closed. In one embodiment of the invention, the upper part of the box and its rear part, the bottom wall and side walls, as well as the cover covering the matches, are formed as an individual cutout or blank. The second blank includes an inner front wall area and an inner side wall area. The third blank comprises an outer front wall area and an intermediate side wall area. The field of the outer front wall contains a match pack forming a match unit, typical of a match pack, attached to its outer surface. The second and third blank are joined together and the second blank extends above the top edge of the third blank. These interconnected blanks form an insert closing the open front of the main blank. The match unit is secured to the outer front wall and is covered with a lid.

From the application P.355833 a cigarette box and its blank is known. The box is rectangular in shape and has a hinged lid. It is formed of a storage section for containing cigarettes and a hinged lid connected to the storage section via a hinge on the rear wall, the front wall of the lid being longer than its back wall and the side walls of the lid being oblique. The box is characterized in that the storage part is provided with an additional inner front wall, and the outer front wall of the storage part is hinged, and there is an additional storage room between the hinged front wall and the inner front wall. In the prior art, no box was provided with a separate and independently openable additional storage room containing items such as matches or a lighter, which was inconvenient to use, and there was a risk of cigarettes falling out or getting wet when trying to remove the contents of the additional storage room.
