Osad miedzi, powstaly na powierzch¬ niach przedmiotów stalowych lub zela¬ znych (mechanicznie wskutek tarcia, lub galwanicznie) daje sie usunac na drodze chemicznej przez stosowanie preparatu w postaci pasty o nastepujacym skladzie: 300 g weglanu amonu (NHJ2CO?j, 120 g gliceryny, 580 g zagestnika obojetnego (7,5 — 8,5-owy roztwór zelatyny w wodzie).Dzialanie preparatu polega na tworze¬ niu sie kompleksyjnych soli miedzi z amo- njaKiem, wytwarzajacym sie z powolnego i stalego rozkladu weglanu amonowego przy dostepie powietrza i pozostajacym bez zad¬ nego dzialania na stal lub zelazo.Dzialanie preparatu rozpoczyna sie nie¬ zwlocznie po pokryciu nim zamiedzionej powierzchni i trwa az do zupelnego usu¬ niecia osadu. Wytworzone zwiazki miedzi lacznie z pozostajaca na powierzchni pasta daja sie latwo usunac mechanicznie (zapo- moca zwyklego przetarcia). PLCopper sediment, formed on the surfaces of steel or iron objects (mechanically by friction or by electroplating) can be removed by chemical means by using a paste preparation with the following composition: 300 g of ammonium carbonate (NHJ2CO3, 120 g of glycerol 580 g of an inert thickener (7.5-8.5% gelatin solution in water). The preparation works by the formation of complex copper salts with ammonia, produced by the slow and steady decomposition of ammonium carbonate with the access of air and without any action on steel or iron. The action of the preparation begins immediately after covering the swollen surface with it and continues until the deposit is completely removed.
