Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
The subject of the invention is a rescue vessel for removing the consequences of tanker disasters, used to combat ecological disasters in water reservoirs, especially in the form of extensive oil stains, damaging the natural environment, flora, fauna, as well as maritime and tourist economy. It has a very compact and simple structure. It can be used as an independent vessel or in cooperation with tankers, transport barges in the oceans and seas. The importance of this problem can be proved by the recent disasters in Spain and the USA, where helpless people watched the enormous plumes of oil approaching the land, devastating the coast, maritime economy and fishing farms. In turn, the removal of the effects of these cataclysms takes place in a primitive way with the use of hands, buckets and shovels. In addition, the sea transport of oil is increasing, shipowners have powerful tankers of up to half a million GRT, which pose a potential threat to the environment in the event of dangerous maritime collisions.
Background of the Invention: The existing techniques for removing the effects of this type of cataclysm are very primitive, consisting in manual collection of thick, black purulent sludge thrown ashore by waves. Chemical and mineral agents are also used, but due to the mass of these damages, they are not most often used in practice.
The essence of the invention: A rescue vessel for the recovery of tanker disasters has a hull with several tanks for oil recovered from a spill, a deck with a bottom and an overflow hatch, a collecting tray consisting of a carrier, a guide on which movable sticks are mounted, ending with suction nozzles with the ends of suction pipes pumps and pneumatic floats fitted with compressed air lines located below them. The collecting container located in the bow of the ship is mounted on the axis by means of a rigid, triangular-shaped carrier connected to the guide, on which movable, radially expanding sticks, ending with combined suction cups, are mounted. The sockets consist of an oval casing ending in a widening inlet, and on its opposite side there is a pump suction pipe, below there is a pneumatic float with a compressed air line and an overflow opening. The work of the invention: The suction cups collect, with a small amount of surface water, the oil that is sucked in through the pump's suction lines and directed by a needle pump with a double-acting piston to the sump, where it settles on the surface, forming a thick layer, while the heavier water sinks to the bottom the ship, from here it will flow into the sea through the open flow hatch. Crude oil, on the other hand, flows down to them through the sliding oil drains, located in the walls of the tanks, without power. In the event of a large wave or equalization of the liquid level in the tank and tanks, pumps from the pumping station should be used. However, it is necessary to cooperate with a rescue vessel operating on large backwaters with tankers or sea transport barges. After completing the task, the collecting tray is assembled with the help of an elevator, the overflow hatch in the bottom is closed, the water is pumped out of the sidewalk and the rescue vessel is ready to set sail to the destination port. And this is where one life cycle of the rescue ship ends.
The task of the pneumatic float is to adjust the suction draft with compressed air. When the suction cup is immersed too deeply, compressed air is forced into the air float and the suction cup rises to the desired level, otherwise the air is deflated and the water flows in, causing the device to lower. These activities are performed from the deck of the ship.
Dzięki zastosowaniu proponowanego statku ratowniczego będzie można likwidować zagrożenia, wynikające z kataklizmów ekologicznych, w zarodku, a tym samym uchronić wybrzeża, rezerwaty przyrody, gospodarkę morską, faunę i florę od dotkliwych klęsk i bezpowrotnego zniszczenia dla współczesnych i przyszłych pokoleń.Thanks to the use of the proposed rescue ship, it will be possible to eliminate the threats resulting from ecological disasters in the bud, and thus protect the coasts, nature reserves, maritime economy, fauna and flora from severe disasters and irreversible destruction for contemporary and future generations.
