Abstract

A cradle (5) has spaced shield cone axles (9,10) about which a weapon pipe (4) is elevatable. The axle (9) is proximate the center of gravity (11) of the cannon (1) while the axle (10) may be pushed towards and away from a catch (3). Fastening devices prevent adjustment of the shield cone axles relative to a carrier vehicle (2) such that the shield cone axles may not be pushed away.
