Description

The subject of the invention is a dental hook for oral procedures in maxillary and dental surgery.

Surgical hooks adapted to be inserted into the oral vestibule to deflect the lip to expose the surgical field during surgery are known. In the known solution, the hook has the form of a flat wing with a rigid handle.

The above solution has many disadvantages, such as the inability to deflect the lip along the entire length of the dental arch, the lack of adjustment to any width of the jaw, inconvenience for the patient due to the possibility of point pressure on the upper or lower lip, which may lead to traumatization of the lips and cheeks and swelling after treatments, nuisance maintaining the hook during longer-lasting treatments, lack of adjustment to the mouth and nose vestibule, the need to remove the hook from the mouth during short disruptions in moving the hook to the left or right, which makes it impossible to work on the anterior and lateral parts of the mouth, muscle fatigue both in the patient and and assistants due to the considerable own weight of the hook.

The aim of the invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages by creating a dental hook that is light and comfortable to use, not burdensome for the patient, with a form that allows the hook to be left in the patient's mouth for a short period of time without the risk of the hook falling out, preventing local compression, adapted to the anatomical shape of the jaw. and mandible, giving a lip deviation along the entire length of the dental arch and optimal exposure of the operating field during the procedure.

The essence of the invention consists in the fact that the hook has two wings with the curvature of the left and right parts of the dental arch, the inner ends of which are located close to each other and are connected from their outer side to the elastic bow of the handle having a gripping part with almost parallel bars ending in a circular bend and some anatomically profiled with sideways open bars ending with longitudinal bends at the wings. The outer rounded ends of the wings are wider than their inner rounded ends and in the cross-section they are convex on both sides, while the bars of the handlebar are made of elastic wire, round in cross-section.

The advantage of this solution is the possibility of deflecting the lip along the entire length of the dental arch and the optimal anatomical fit.

As shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 3, the dental hook has two wings 1, 2 with the curvature of the left and right parts of the dental arch for lip deflection along the entire length of the dental arch of the maxilla or mandible, the inner ends 3, 4 of which are closely connected to each other. from their outer side with an elastic shank 5 of the handle 6. The handle 6 has a gripping part 7 with almost parallel bars 8 ending with a circular bend 9 and an anatomically profiled part 10 with sideways open bars 11 for the nose circumference, ending with longitudinal bends 12 at the wings 1, 2 to bypass the upper or lower lip.

The outer rounded ends 13, 14 of the wings 1, 2 are wider than their inner rounded ends 3, 4, and in the cross-section they are biconvex, while the bars 8, 11 of the handle 5 of the handle 6 are made of elastic wire, round in cross-section.

The above-described dental hook for the maxilla is positioned with the handle facing upwards, and the handle facing downwards for the mandible.
