Abstract

The device has stretching devices and a stretch tightening clamp for stretch tightening a hood like stretch foil (15) that is stretched in a cross-wise direction over individual good to be packed. Each stretching device has two stretching units, which simultaneously act in two contact areas (Z1, Z2) such that the foil sections located between the areas are arranged on the clamp without one overlapping the other.
