Fig. 1 and 4 show the skirting board in use, Fig. 2 and Fig. 5 the masking element, and Fig. 3 and 6 the mounting and masking element. The skirting board is available in a variety that differs in the shape of the edges of the masking parts. The first version of the industrial-design skirting board consists of two interlocking elements, the first being a mounting and masking element, and the second a masking element. The cross-section of the first element in the mounting section is similar to a trapezoid with the wall edges bent outward, and the space thus created serves as a mounting channel.
