Abstract
The subject of the formula is a biological sewage treatment plant (2) with biomass suspended in the chamber (1) of activated sludge, flow, as well as in reactors (9) for batch operation. The biomass is located in basket tanks immersed below the mirror of sewage and activated sludge. The basket tanks are in the form of rectangular baskets (3), in which freely moving porous grains (8) are placed, which are the carrier of the biological membrane, and the grains (8) in the amount of 40 to 60% of the basket volume (3) are keramzite grains from 8 to 20 mm wearable in baskets (3), while the expanded clay particles resulting from abrasion are embedded in the activated sludge flocs, whereby the walls (6) of the hopper tanks (3) have less clearances than the grains contained in them (8), and the baskets themselves (3) represent 20 to 80% of the total volume of the chamber (1) or reactor (9).
