Abstract

A utility model which relates to the production of pork burger patty with banana (Musa acuminata) pith comprising the steps of: (a) preparing the ingredients such as pork meat, banana pith, salt, black pepper, sodium phosphate and powdered onions; (b) washing the pork meat and banana to remove any dirt adhering to it; (c) cutting the pork meat into small pieces; (d) chopping the banana pith finely; (e) mixing of the minced meat from step (c), chopped banana pith from step (d) and the other ingredients from step (a) until even distribution will be achieved; (f) forming of the mixture into small balls and rolling it in flour to facilitate intactness; (g) making a thin patty of about 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter and 5 mm thick out of the formed balls and; (h) frying of the patties in a small amount of oil over a medium heat (70-105oC) for about 3-5 minutes or until well browned.
