Abstract
Se dan a conocer un metodo y un aparato para localizar y /o determinar el estado de una pieza de desgaste en una imagen de un accesorio de trabajo asociado con equipo pesado. El metodo implica capturar al menos una imagen del accesorio de trabajo durante el funcionamiento del equipo pesado, incluyendo la imagen una pluralidad de pixeles que tienen cada uno un valor de intensidad. El metodo tambien implica seleccionar subconjuntos de pixeles sucesivos dentro de la pluralidad de pixeles, y procesar cada subconjunto de pixeles para determinar si los valores de intensidad de pixel en el subconjunto de pixeles cumplen con un criterio de coincidencia que indica una probabilidad de que el subconjunto de pixeles corresponda a la pieza de desgaste. El criterio de coincidencia se basa en procesar un conjunto marcado de imagenes de entrenamiento durante un ejercicio de entrenamiento antes de capturar la al menos una imagen del accesorio de trabajo
