Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un tambor de aglomeracion y a un procedimiento de aglomeracion de mineral realizado en el interior de dicho tambor para el pretratamiento de minerales, ambos utilizados principalmente en hidrometalurgia. Dicho tambor y procedimiento emplean un sistema y una etapa de recirculacion de gases como parte de la invencion. Ademas, dentro del procedimiento de aglomeracion se incluye el proceso de reacciones quimicas que ocurren en el interior del tambor de aglomeracion. El tambor de aglomeracion, el procedimiento de aglomeracion y el proceso reactivo permiten obtener aglomerados uniformes, estables y poco degradables, que poseen una mayor superficie de contacto aglomerado-reactivo. Los aglomerados o glomeros producidos en el tambor de aglomeracion y de acuerdo con el proceso de la invencion incrementan el rendimiento extractivo del proceso posterior de lixiviacion, reduciendo la creacion de vias preferencial es de la solucion lixiviante en las pilas de lixiviacion. Adicionalmente, el tambor y procedimiento de la invencion permiten evitar la liberacion de gases al ambiente, contando con un sistema de recirculacion de gases que, al ser cerrado, mantiene los gases dentro del tambor de aglomeracion y del proceso. Esta recirculacion de gases pem1ite no solo evitar la liberacion de los mismos al ambiente, sino que reduce los costos de operacion el emplear los gases recirculados como parte del proceso de aglomeracion.
